Woke up this morning and it was cold in the apartment for the first time in a long time!

days slowly get shorter and cooler. Leaves turn and grasses become more brittal preparing for the rains or cold snows of winter. The shorts and skirts and tees are put away for the longer pants and snuggly sweaters and sweat shirts. Most will race to spend as much more time out of doors before the coming chill and wet. Gardens are harvested and foods canned. The busy busy days before winter have come. Welcome to fall and the browns and yellows and reds and greens... the colors of a warm earth turing her head...

I love the fall colors. The crunching of leaves... I still usually won't wear long pants until much later. but so nice yes
