Some people would have us believe that the ISS and other earth satellites cast shadows on the moon while changing directions abruptly.

I did not make any of these videos. I compiled this list after seeing some moon weirdness for myself.

Those are lunar rovers left behind by the lunar landers back in the 60s. They were sort of like dunebuggys with cameras and wireless internet.

I don't think those are shadows ON the moon. I think they are various
objects from aircraft to satellites to the ISS silhouetted against the
Moon when it's that bright.

There's a rather large group of amateur astronomers who spend most
of their time tracking and imaging the ISS:

Lots of photos of their work on those pages.

When they track the ISS with the Moon as the background they refer to
it as a "transit". Here's their page on ISS Moon Transits.

That site also has a tracking simulator that calculates when the ISS is due to
make a transit based on your location.

no internet existed until the late 70's and wifi wasn't around until the 90's.... but they did have cameras

Not to mention, these objects were moving, while the rovers would be idle, unless we have some people up there and they're not telling us about it.
