If you are a high ranking hovernment official like him , you shouldnt talk shit about anyone on twitter, cause people, the ones that pay for you, get pissed and pressure your employer to throw you out.

This has nothing to do with free speech, it has something to do with government complying to the peoples will, the thing YOU WANT from the government

WRONG. I want the government to abide by the Constitution, not the will of the mob.

And the Constitution says freedom of speech for all.

Now if he, in an official capacity, did something unethical, that would be a different story. If he, let's say, chose to not respond to a fire call in the projects, THEN I would say he should be tossed on his ass.

I am a firefighter myself, and I deal with a lot of scumbags and deadbeats of all sorts. But my personal opinion of them has NO bearing on whether or not I will do my damn best to save their lives. Probably because I DO in fact understand to some degree, and have empathy for the plight of ALL people. Drunks, druggies, ignorant thugs, whatever.

But that empathy comes to an abrupt end when I am attacked by someone. I don't give a shit what their problems are at that point. And that was what this guy was trying to say. Basically, that we have a RIGHT to be leary of people who look dangerous, or fit that demographic.
