Let's imagine that Obama doesn't exist; why would you vote FOR Romney?

Not a valid reason I can think of.

That's a political value judgment. Whether he's a dork or not.

See politics starts in elementary school. This whole dork/cool thing is political.

It's gets nastier in junior high school and high school, then reverses a little in college.

Can you tell I was a dork?

chuckle

I kind of see where you're coming from, but the truth is that some of kids who were viewed as dorks were really the coolest, but other kids lacked the maturity to appreciate it.

Real cool is about being comfortable in your own skin, marching to the beat of your own drummer, knowing your limitations, not caring what others think, treating others with respect, not acting like a big shot, never showboating, etc. That may seem like kind of an amorphous definition, but i'm not sure i can pin it down more than that.

Back to the JFK/BHO comparison. JFK was confident=cool. BHO is cocky=not cool.

TOTAL dork. He has the look of some sort of over-eager puppy dog, which is only cool if you actually are an over-eager puppy dog.

The bullying incident while at prep school, if true, is super uncool.

I pretty much agree with all of that.

I think they banned cool people running for POTUS after they murdered JFK.

Sort of an unspoken rule.

Now some people might chime up "but Ronnie Raygun was cool."

Nope

Not really. Notsomuch.

Story is true, but he publicly apologized for that so its all fine and dandy now, right?

Back to topic; OP, what if a part of Americans will vote for Obama because he's kinda dorkish - but made it through against it?

I suppose some might perceive him that way, but i have a hard time imagining it. I could see that motive more with Bill Clinton, because he was trying SO hard to come off as cool, when he was really still that dorky kid in the picture shaking hands with JFK. But how does one feel sympathetic to a guy like BHO who always seems to have his nose in the air.

My first piece of photographic evidence that O is a dork is an amazing "two-fer"!

#1 He wears "mom jeans"

#2 He throws like a girl!

After several attempts I guess I can't embed images without registering. If someone wants to embed that image to make it easier to see that would be great.

You mean like this??

To reiterate....

LoP Guest  Wrote: (07-08-2012 06:40 AM)
You would have thought that someone would have worked with him on that, or at least went ahead and given him a softball and encouraged an underhand pitch.
Nice job on the embedding...

By selecting few images and keep on pushing them you can portray anyone anyway you want - flawless. But how can't you be sympathetic toward someone with so many drawbacks like Obama; let me list just few of them:

- he’s a communist, radical Muslim and homosexual at the same time;
- his fathers are Marshall Davis, Malcolm X, and his own grandfather;
- regardless to above he’s NOT a natural born citizen;
- regardless to above his highly pregnant mother took a 3-days-long journey to some remote African village only to give him a birth;
- he actually is Osama bin Laden who actually died back in ‘01;
- he ‘s a CIA and KGB agent
- he’s Akhenaton’s clone

No contradictions at all!

PS: let's keep out the racial baiting, okay?

"Dork vs. Cool" is not politics. I never said his dorkiness has anything to do with his qualifications (or lack thereof) for the job of president.[b] I am merely taking issue with the absurd, baseless "cult of personality" that surrounds him... /snip/

Referring to my previous post; It seems that his opponents worship a Obama's cult of personality (even if a reverse one) not his supporters.

BTW; I'm not overly impressed by Obama - but am even less by Romney. He's a plastic fantastic man that flip flopped about every issue thus far.
