Throttling seems to be the holdup.

Seems like a fantastic idea.

Cui Bono?

Good find. I know the more air you mix the more explosive the mixture.

What's the advantage over a conventional carb?

Nothing magical here. But he's gonna burn a hole in his piston if he goes too lean.

Might get some extra efficiency by better dissolving the fuel in the air before it ignites(careboretors generally add a "mist") rather than dissolve the fuel, and lawnmowers have very cheezy carburetors, so there's plenty of room for effeciency improvements.

On a car, you can make the fuel system a bit more efficient by adding a water injection system, (increased humidity can help dissolve the fuel a little better.)

They have super-efficient injection systems now, just haven't rolled them out yet.(In America.)

Doing so would defeat the Malthusians. Harder to justify murdering most of us if we started driving little efficient cars.

Since it's not burning the fuel but the fumes of the fuel I'd expect it's economy.chuckle

Yeah those TDI VW's get 40 to 50 mpg. Super high pressure fuel pump is most the reason.

I thought thats what carburetors did, turn liquid fuel into vapor. Am I missing something?

no, they create a mist, like a perfume sprayer.

This apparatus used fumes, so it's more fully dissolved. More analogous to propane power, or natural gas.

THey could just take this "concept car", strip out all the bs like the backup camera,
make it a cheap production car.

But they won't. I'll be super expensive probably:

Yes and economy of fuel would be a good thing.

They need to make kits that are somewhat universal so people could get better mileage and performance.

What about the idea of using this in a hydrogen fuel cell motor?

Would it extend the output and performance?

Maybe in conjunction with other devices such as Stirling engines and Bittersly Flywheel motors?

How about it.

Why are we not advancing our motors in a more realistic way?

Never mind I know...

It seems like motors are built to suck. What about waste/heat etc..reclamation.

Couldn't 4 tires spinning generate or reclaim some electric power at least? Micro wind turbines to cash in on drag?

RE: Fuel vapour carburetor ?? Any thoughts?
It's even more irritating now.

Used to be all sorts of "suppressed technology" claims where the inventor gets his patent sstolen, or is forced into a buyout, then it vanishes etc, etc.

Stuff we really can't scrutinize, so the temptation is t debunk it, or think it's a hoax.

Now many car makers are producing "concept cars" that PROVE all the old claims,
but they just do it as a concept car, make it super-expensive for no good reason, except to make it impractical, or appear to be impractical so we think it's years out, then forget about it.

I'll post some examples in a few.

Real simple: make little cars with efficient little motorcycle engines. Duh.

I'd buy one. Wouldn't pass bumper or crash standards would be the EXCUSE. Stupid shit like that.

The 90mpg 2011(2012?) honda civic appears to have been "scrubbed from google" perhaps somebody with different cookies polluting their computer can find it.

Just a gas car, not a hybrid.
