Over the next 75 years, Medicare is facing projected unfunded liabilities of more than 38 trillion dollars. That comes to $328,404 for each and every household in the United States.

Why? Simple because the Republiscams gave us a medical system that makes Billions for the Upper One Percent. I shit you not. The corrupt system is set up to make the Multi Millionaires and Billionaires even richer at the expense of the middle class which is rapidly wasting away.

In the United States the cost of medical care per person is twice that in the rest of the industrialized world. Why? Simple, because the Republiscams are not running the show in those other countries and most of them have socialized medicine where the government sets the costs and the profits the horribly corrupt Medical Industry and evil Big Pharma can make.

If the United States does not end this massive wave of corruption by the Republiscams, the country will not be able to pay for Medicare. The Middle Class and below who have been paying in to the program will see their medical care trashed. There should be a limit to the amount of money the rich can steal from the poor. This problem needs to be corrected now.

OP is right. Many european countries as well as Austrialia fund free lifetime healthcare for a fraction of the cost of our medicare program which only funds most people after retirement. Something is obviously wrong.

And most of them do a good job of it.

What we have is the worst of both worlds. It is very expensive and not well run.

There is no excuse for working people not to have basic medical care.

A family of four will spend almost 20,000 a year on medical insurance and then the deductible and co-pays on top of that. (Then still won't have dental.)

I would think Republicans would be all for universal coverage.

Why should employers pay for medical coverage?

The rich can always opt for any other care they want so what is the problem?

Do they just enjoy watching people suffer?
