VANCOUVER—Vancouver Police say packages containing a foot and a hand were delivered to two area schools this afternoon.
However, Deputy Chief Warren Lemcke says he can’t comment on whether the packages are connected to the dismembered body of a Chinese student found in Montreal last week.
Police say a human hand was discovered in a package opened at a school near the Olympic Village, and later this afternoon, a human foot was found by staff at St. George’s School, a private boys school.

MONTREAL — The widespread travels of Luka Rocco Magnotta, both geographically and on the World Wide Web, are fuelling speculation he may have killed elsewhere.
Montreal police are working with the Los Angeles Police Department to determine whether Magnotta could have been involved in the murder and beheading of a 66-year-old man in California in January. The head of Hervey Medellin was discovered near the famous Hollywood sign by a woman walking her dog on Jan. 17. A police search turned up Medellin's hands and feet in the area, but the rest of his body remains missing.
Montreal police confirmed Thursday they've been in contact with the LAPD, state media reports, and will be passing on any relevant information that surfaces as part of their investigation.

The series of three clips posted June 3 and 4, raised the spectre that the former porn actor and stripper filmed a series of clips while he was on the run for the murder and dismemberment of gay lover Jun Lin in Montreal.

Paul Mason knew the man simply as Rocco. Seeking to beef up his photographic portfolio, the 48-year-old Montrealer had placed an ad on Craigslist in April 2011, seeking models who would work gratis in exchange for free portraits.
Soon, Rocco got in touch. Mason agreed to meet the man, who he understood to be a gay model, at Rocco’s apartment in the gentrifying southwest Montreal neighbourhood of Pointe-Saint-Charles. And so it was that around lunchtime on Saturday, May 1 of last year, Mason arrived at Rocco’s apartment, near the Charlevoix metro.
Rocco “came out dressed in sweatpants, a tank-top hoodie, and a little bit of facial makeup on his cheeks,” recalls Mason. “The cheek thing was a little much. I said to myself, ‘Ugh, that’s going to be a little creamy on camera—but what the hell.’ I looked at the guy: a very chiselled face, not ugly, by any means. Quite dynamic looking.”

MONTREAL—A teacher has been suspended by a Montreal high school for showing students the infamous video that shows a killing allegedly committed by Luka Rocco Magnotta.
The teacher showed the Grade 10 students the grotesque scenes on June 4 and was immediately suspended that afternoon — with pay.
Staff at Cavelier-De LaSalle High School say they quickly informed students that a team of psychologists was available to deal with any problems students might have had as a result of seeing the video.
The teacher, described as being in his 20s, apparently apologized to the school by email and was scheduled to lay out his version of the facts before a labour-relations board Wednesday.
Montreal police said Wednesday that investigators were trying to determine if charges could be laid against the unidentified teacher.
