Gold (and silver, of course) works well in private barter arrangements.

Take reasonable care in how you purchase and avoid dealers if you must sell.

just hide it well...not in yer house or yard...they do have metal detectors these daysor so i hear.

The problem with dealers is the on-site video surveillance.

If a dealer transaction is necessary/desired, a coin show may be a better option.

I pull my gold straight from the creeks and rivers. One thing I have learned about this kind of gold, people will trade with you, what they would never sell you for money. I love to barter.
