flip Gallup Daily: U.S. unemployment 7.8%
Gallup Daily figures match with Bureau of Labor Statistics:

Gallup: http://www.gallup.com/poll/125639/gallup...force.aspx

Bureau of Labor Statistics: http://bls.gov/news.release/empsit.b.htm

GOP and right-wing pundits never doubted Gallup or BLS figures when they were in "their favor" (as sad as that sounds). If you'd check the graph you'll find out there wasn't any "dramatic" or "unusual" decrease lately; figures match to trend.

http://data.bls.gov/timeseries/LNS14000000

FYI, of course there are different statistical methodologies, but BLS didn't change their one at least since early 90s. They use the same methodology as during Bush presidency.

So why is America still complaining?
Seems like Fox can just turn a nob to make people complain or make them fall in line in praise for the army or whatever.

Time is a great teacher, unfortunately it kills all it's pupils.

It's more like GOP and Neocons are complaining, because what is good for America is bad for them, ATM.

ON the other side it's apparent that the US economy is better off than EU one at the moment. Even if slower than initially predicted it is recovering - against the Global Economic crisis and bitter resistance of "the hell no party".

The way the "headline" UE rate is calculated makes no distinction between F/T and P/T jobs.

Assuming the report is true, 873,000 part-time workers were added in the last month (the highest one time increase in 29 years), whilst F/T jobs continued their fall.

IOW, if American business were to terminate 100M F/T employees it employs and hire 200M P/T employees with no benefits and at 1/2 the hours they work today, the UE rate would be hovering at close to zero.

RE: Gallup Daily: U.S. unemployment 7.8%
so the unemployment is back to where it was when Obama took office. 4 years and trillions of dollars and we are back where we started.
And the Dems are touting this as success? This President is a major FAIL and the American people know this, man

What?

I am merely linking the Administration's "Forward" slogan, with its direct descendant the "Great Leap Forward", which was Mao's economic and political campaign of the late 1950's and early 1960's and refers to the centrally-controlled "Top-Down" government authoritarianism of its day.

It's a hell of a story filled with coercion, terror, political intrigue and millions of deaths.

You can read about it here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Leap_Forward

very true, though I do think that Chrissy and Maddow are licking their wounds from the debate.

....

Do you hate the Founding Fathers and prominent Republicans using the evil, communist word "forward"?

“Without His help, America will not go forward --Ronald Reagan, February 3, 1983

“A politician looks forward only to the next election. A statesman looks forward to the next generation.” -- Thomas Jefferson.

Gosh, you're cheap and lame...
