Cenk shares some rather disturbing facts about the incoming financial apocalypse!
Things will be far from okay.
I wonder.
Will it be the violent collapse or will it be the shift.
The slow to rapidly evolving death of the old society.
Usually brought on by one massive event. Che's death for example.
Or...like the economic collapse of Argentina.

He says people "may soon" be paying for the US and Germany to keep their money safe.
Of course, this is already happening, and has been happening for quite some time. There is this little thing called INFLATION that means if you don't get a return larger than that on your bonds, you're effectively paying the government to store your money for you.
I think buying any form of government bonds for your money is like flushing them down the toilet right now. What's wrong with putting your panic funds in gold and silver? Whatever happens to the value of metals, it's at least not going to ZERO!

You most certainly get it here's hoping you've had more luck than me convincing all of your family and friends of the same.

It's been a matter of time for awhile.
Now it's a short matter of time.
The Great Depression didn't hit everywhere all at once, and different places suffered or survived according to various factors. Collapses happen at varying degrees of severity and will cause more problems for delicate, reliant, on-time delivery of resource areas (cities) harder, especially if there are not reliable back up systems in place or implemented early on.
People who are self-sustaining (farms, livestock, rural, water source, etc) are less jeopardized by economic collapse than city dwellers.
For those reliant on external services, as long as there is electricity, access to banks and currency, fuel remains obtainable and affordable, and some semblance of social order, then things are still OK.
Remove one of the above for very long, and its time to reconsider options.

There are two ways to be fooled. One is to believe what isn't true; the other is to refuse to believe what is true."
— Søren Kierkegaard
Most arguments rely on appeals to authority or morality. Truth and reason necessarily rely on neither.

But you can't eat gold!!!
(couldn't resist, sorry)
It seems like that if everyone were to put some of their savings into gold and silver coins, then we'll still have money people can trust when our current system collapses. That's the best-case scenario in my opinion.
Because the system is totally set up for digital money, the whole thing collapsing is beyond what I can really imagine...
I think everyone is going to be surprised...

if the water were turned off here, it would become a death trap fairly quickly, same with electricity. Those are my two biggest worries, regarding the economic collapse.
If they can't keep the nuclear reactors up, that's another big one, in fact, let me put that one in front of those other two...I sure hope San Onofre is kept shut down!!
