It's kind of fun stealing education! Lmao

Interesting legal question: Could they legally charge you with theft if they caught you? Or just trespassing or something? chuckle

chuckle

Just blend, Betty.

Mumble something in farsi, or Greek or something if they ask you questions.

Thats Capitalism for you. the 'Free market' that is NOT free. It's a friendly name only to allow the rich to get richer and make money off of absolutely everything they can.

Education is a RIGHT. NOT a privilege. And it should be for FREE.

Government guaranteed loans that go for the salaries of government employees has nothing to do with 'capitalism'.

erm, no, education, as is being discussed here, is not a right, nor should it be 'free'. If someone is going to teach you, other than out of the goodness of their heart, they deserve to paid. That means someone must pay them. That means it is not 'free'.

Government pays the teachers. Simple as that. And YES education should be FREE.
It's a right. Just as health care, and dental should be. It should be FREE to the students. You are misunderstanding my point.

It should be a system that can self sustain it's population by re-circulating the money back into the system instead of private ownership of corporations, and other things. Basically, what you earn is for you. And the money that you spend (since theres no privatization) the money can be kept in circulation without being grabbed up by greedy suites. Money placed back into the system. All people would be able to have a place to live, appartments and such. Free-trade is not so free. It hurts people.

College is THE biggest scam on the planet.

It's so funny how people think a few years at school and a piece of paper make them so much better than others. It's the ultimate PRIDE booster, and pride is the cause of most arguments and a lot of the world's problems.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

People think their job and their money and their car and their degree make them so special. God doesn't care about any of that.

is this from the cheesed off GED crowd?

From someone who never went into debt.

Are you from the shill crowd?

RE: Go to college and get bankrupt
If you want to go to college, you can, and it doesn't cost very much.

You can start by going to a JuCo to chase some sort of degree that you can use -- maybe technology-oriented, like an associate's in computer science or something like that.

Find a job with a company which includes tuition as part of their package and milk it for all it's worth. Most large companies have such programs. Over 20 years, my company paid for two degrees for me -- including textbooks and lab fees -- and all I had to do was to do it on my own time. They even adjusted my work hours so I could take a couple of day classes I needed to graduate.

Or, if you're unable to make it to a JuCo, you can go in the military, get some sort of skills training there, and then have them pick up your education tab when you separate. I know lots of folks who spent six years in the Army, got an associate's degree, and then got the final two years courtesy of Uncle Pig.

Now there are a lot of folks who think college is a waste of time, and for some people -- and for some types of training -- it is. And if you chase a degree in journalism or English Lit (which, btw, was my first) or social work, then yeah, you're probably not going to make it pay off.

And there are a lot of people here who whine about how much it costs and that they now have to live with their parents blah blah blah.

But the tuition is what it is, and all the quacking about it isn't going to change anything -- at least not for you -- so why bother? Either suck it up and figure out a way to pay for it (or have your employer pay for it) -- or else stfu.

And if you or your kid doesn't want to go to a JuCo because he doesn't want to "miss out on the University Experience" (which is just a synonym to goof off and get drunk), then you're wasting your money anyway. Better to give him $1000 a month and ket him spend it on hookers and booze.

The first degree I took, courtesy of the United States Navy was, for all practical purposes, a Bachelor of Arts in After-Dinner Conversation, but the fact that I actually got one convinced a company to take a chance on me. Maybe they figured I wasn't a quitter because I survived the JuCo and the University of Maryland; I don't know.

But that paved the way for an engineering degree and then later on an MBA, and that paid off financially, even though it took me a lifetime to do it.

Now I'm finished chasing degrees, but I still go to the local JuCo (Mesa Community College) with my wife just to take "fun courses".

My point isn't to preach; it's just to say that you can afford college and you can make it pay off for you; you're just going to have to determine the best way to pay for it, and then pick the course of study that makes all that time and skull sweat you're going to have to spend worth it.

In other words, plan your work and then work your plan.
