There was a very small guest shed with two bedrooms, one with bunkbed as you entered through the only door, and behind curtains was a master bedroom, which is where JSK was "kept" and left alone with no heat. The beginning scene of the Vampire Happening, where Betty enters a bedroom to have sex with the "big man on the phone" is the most accurate movie rendering of this situation, and this was the room the Exorcist cold room was based on.
