ATHENS, May 5 (Xinhua) -- Greek far-right Chryssi Avgi (Golden Dawn) party could enter the parliament for the first time after the upcoming May 6 national elections, the latest opinion surveys indicated.

The rise of the far-right party founded two decades ago has been met with strong reactions by mainstream parties, citizens and analysts who attribute its increasing popularity to the rising anti-immigrant sentiment amongst recession-hit low-income Greeks.

According to pollsters, Chryssi Avgi will easily secure the 3-percent threshold needed to enter the assembly, garnering over 5 percent during Sunday's polls that could determine the debt-ridden country's future for the next decade.

Yeah it's obvious both from their name and emblem where they are coming from, it's quite insane that this can draw voters. I tell myself that it must be a south european thing, but there is probably a huge risk that this will spread all over the place if the current government's status quo loving policies keep failing.

If I look for golden dawn on google I see a lot of jewish symbols. And it says something about them being mystics.
Well, I understand they want to revolt against a banker being set up as president and making the people pay for something the rich or elite f*cked up.
Just be careful, leaders of those parties can be real narcissistic, don't forget they are not the movement, they are just the leader.

I was listening to BBC radio on NPR today, and they were discussing this topic about the recent French elections, and the new party (Golden Dawn) in Greece, etc.... They must have sloppy stagehands, because I could swear one of the persons being interviewed was probably 6 pints deep, and all throughout the broadcast someone in the background was throwing up or dry-heaving and somebody else was obnoxiously coughing and clearing their throats. I had to turn the radio off it was cracking me up so much and I needed to focus on the drive...funny ass shit Jhikpghf
