as for being on topic as to what is the real date of the start of the new year, i wish march 20th would be the official new year's date (historically like it should), it would be much much MUUCH better than celebrating it during cold, gloomy, winter.
Heartflowers

December 25th to January 1st is the ancient celebration of Saturnalia. It is cold dark and gloomy because it is Satan's/Saturn's celebration.

Winter is the time of death. Spring is the celebration of Rebirth.

Christians have been tricked into celebrating the birth of the Sun on Satan's (Saturn's) day. That's probably why so many people say in all actuality say that they hate Christmas time. It's no wonder.... It's not really Christmas.

Christ was born April 6th.

If society fell apart, we - the people would build a new one. Most people are good at their core, and when we see things that are wrong we work to fix them together. Make friends with your neighbors, get involved with your community - because we will rebuild our lives, our communities, from horrible circumstances we always will.

I don't think so ... there is rather convincing arguments that He was born around September 14 +/- a day or two. Also, He was most likely born about 2 BC.

It's interesting, pagans often celebrated april 1st as "new years" (and ridiculed as "fools" later on)

I'm not talking about a man. I'm talking about the sun of God. The sun is considered to be born on the vernal equinox because that is when our axial tilt towards the sun is most favorable to grow food. It is a time when everything blooms or is "born". December 25th is the time of death. It's winter and you won't be growing much food then...

Thanks for that, I never tied those 2 together. That's interesting...

Fools huh? As foolish as celebrating the "birth" of the year during the season of "death"? Try growing grapes on January first.... good luck.... chuckle

I try to stay away from prophecies. I do like to talk about the "prophecy of the popes" however because I know those Romans made it up. It's like their gameplan rather than a "prophecy".

A lot of the so called "prophecies" were just stories from people that knew of ancient cycles that repeat over and over. If you know the cycle, it doesn't really make you a prophet....

I was reading through a Rosicrucian book about Atlantis and it said that the Atlanteans celebrated the New Year on the Spring Equinox. This got me to thinking, Is that the real New Year's Day? I did some research in the old books and I couldn't believe it. According to the ancient ways, we haven't entered 2012 yet.

Along with ancient England, the Chinese, Jews, Romans, and American Indians also recognized the new year as begininning with the Vernal Equinox in March.

http://books.google.com/books?id=lL0RAAA...ox&f=false <===LINK

So what does this mean? It means that all of us who celebrated New Year's Day on the stroke of midnight January 1st weren't really celebrating the New Year. We were celebrating the anniversary of William the Conqueror's coronation.

2012 begins March 20th.

This just happens to be the time that so many people are predicting doom...

HOROSCOPE OF IRAN

Quote:On the 1st of February 1979 millions of Iranian citizens descended on Teheran airport to witness the return of their political messiah, Ayatollah Khomeini. The religious and political leader, was returning home from a fifteen year exile. It was a homecoming, witnessed by millions of his countrymen. And all part of a shock revolution, before a transfixed world press.

According to Nicholas Campion’s World Horoscopes reference manual, the moment Khomeini touched down on home soil was 09.33 hours. The horoscope drawn for this time captures the tension and emotion of the moment. It has an self-determining Aries Ascendant with the Moon (representing the public) rising, and also in the sign of the warrior. The significance of this today, is that Uranus, the planet of rebellion and independence, is now in Aries. And on March 22 this year there will be a New Moon at 2 degrees of Aries, near the rising point of the Iranian chart. It will occur with the planet of not only revolution, but also technology, in Uranus along with newsworthy Mercury. These four celestial bodies coincide at a time that Iran’s own advancing technology is under scrutiny by the west.
