this is interesting
he was downloading high res large pics as they came in
while nasa (according to him) was simultaneously scrubbing away
now he says his pics are being censored
a nasa scientist (one of the big guys in the curiousity conferences) emailed him and gave him a link to upload his pics
then they took the link down
and yahoo is deleting his stuff

anyway, thought it worthy of sharing

indeed
according to the other thread
nasa has these pics
pieces of them
all in tiny thumbnails so that zooming in gives very poor resolution
he caught the big stuff coming in and saved them in high resolution
so he could put them together
and nasa was removing pieces as he was doing so

i haven't paid a lot of attention to the whole curiousity thing
find it kind of silly in the grand scheme of things
billions for more pictures of rocks
and we still ignore the moon

Cheers OP, if you zoom in on the white censored bits at the bottom there is black lines (bad cropping?). I had a quick read of the thread and it says there was the NASA version, but instead of white it was black and in lower resolution.

So what is the black? where he photoshopped white over?
