H1N1 is highly transmissable between humans hence the pandemic H5N1 is less transmissable at the moment but with a mortality rate of between 50% and 60% when the two virus combine then we will be in serious trouble and as already seen people [ yes humans ] have carried both virus at the same time easly enabling the mutations between clades to take place ,
it is already species jumping equine, feline, avine, porcus, and human cases are all documented and bats carry the h7 virus it really is just a matter of time as the mutations are happening with each new outbreak .

Since March 3rd - until today, March 24 - there have been 8 deaths in Pune.
Gathering news sources, this commentary is to put together some facts of the facts surrounding the deaths. On fact that is standing out right now for me is the space of only 3-4 days from onset to death.

There are 17,000 points in the genetic make of swine flu virus which are being mapped to find out mutation in the virus, Mishra said.

"Around March 15, Paigude showed typical symptoms like mild fever, cough with expewctoration and developed mild breathlessness from March 17, following which he was admitted to PHRC at around 11.55 am. His became critical and he was put on ventilator support. Later his condition deteriorated following which he died," said Shyam Satpute, acting assistant medical officer of health.

The possible mixture of influenza strains H1N1 (high infectivity) and H5N1 (high lethality) is actually a matter of global concern (1, two). Bioradar UK Ltd announced (three) very first, that the Replikin Counts of the two virus strains have risen simultaneously, not seen previously. Additionally, the rise is to their highest levels in 50 years (H1N1, 16.7; H5N1, 23.3), and that clinical outbreaks of each strain are now occurring. These simultaneous conditions may enhance the risk that the two virus strains may well come into contact with every single other much more frequently, facilitating transfer of genomic material to form a hybrid.
