I just got an e-mail that says sender is "Hacker Vaccine for Facebook".
Message heading is "Check Out Hacker Vaccine".

I don't know where this came from. I haven't opened it of course.
It's an e-mail that doesn't get spammed that I know of.
Except by my stepmother in her endless "forwards".

Anybody else seen this?
I sent someone an e-mail as a joke talking about the facebook/face.com
joint venture yesterday. This could have triggered it from "somewhere". I guess.

Running the mouse over it here is where it says it originated from:

invite=AbWFyaWUc2V2YW5AeWFob28uY29t@facebookmail.com

Can anybody backtrack that to see what this is?

Just a warning if this is some new virus scam.

I didn't see anything about this in a search.

Here's the thing. This is not the e-mail I use for my (fake) facebook account.
That e-mail address did not receive this same e-mail ad.

Thanks for any info of what to do other than just not open it.

I would right click it and select delete without opening it, then delete from the trash folder with the same method.

I left out a lower case u following the capital U.
Just putting this out there for posterity just in case someone
can trace it back to see where this originated from.

I guess nobody else has received one like it before.
That makes me even more suspicious about it being
something "personal".

Interesting that, as I googled it......

I suddenly realized

that the words

"HACKER VACCINE"
actually have no intrinsic meaning ,
(sounds helpful or scary.. but what would it refer to?)

technically or otherwise... unless it means you have enough information to be immune to the BS

Thank you for checking this out.

I suspect it was a virus sent to me personally if no one else has received anything like this.
I had sent an email and just casually mentioned in the body of it that they must have got the memo about the facebook/face.com joint venture because they had changed their profile pic to one of them in an unrecognizable grimace!

It was so long an address and it wouldn't stay highlighted long enough for me to copy it onto a piece of paper so that in fits and starts I wrote it down and it still isn't right!
It was invite+ not =
so I keep shooting myself in the foot trying to see if any savvy peeps out there could help me see if we can backtrace it!

First I noticed I left out a second u.

Anyway, I just followed FF's advice and deleted it but that doesn't make it "unsent" unfortunately.
