Hey car guys
We have a ranch truck now, for obvious reasons. Well, I was never good with bumper pull trailers, because I have the gooseneck horse trailer.

The inevitable has happened. The truck has been backed right into a flatbed trailer, crunching the corner of the trailer, and the hip part of the dually. it's not a new truck (maybe '03 or '04), so I don't want to pay for OEM replacement part to just bolt onto the truck where the old one was taken off.

Question: What is that hippy part of plastic over a dually's rear wheels called? And who should I call to find a wrecking yard that has one? Is there like a national database or something? The old one just came off with a few bolts, so I assume a replacement shouldn't be hard. And it's a white truck, so it's not like I'm looking for exotic.

Little help?

I ordered a leaf spring stack through "Auto Zone" recently and the guy said it came form some giant indoor auto salvage place. The price wasn't to bad I thought.
Check your local salvage yards too.

It's a fender extension, usually made out of fiberglass, easy to fix if it's not to bad.

I was thinking that until I reread the trailer damage part. Thinking pieces.

Thanks, ][. I sent them a tech support email, that sounded much less stupid than my post here.

I'm just hoping it doesn't cost a fortune. Anon

The trailer is at the neighbor's ranch getting the angle iron rewelded. The truck, my husband just unbolted the hippy part thingie.

But it needs to be replaced, but god, I don't want to pay a bunch for it.
