"hippy part thingie". I love that description. Heartflowers

As di the customer service guy on the phone. He laughed, then said "That's a fender, ma'am."

Oh well, thanks to you guys and the autopartswarehouse, the problem is solved and the new part will be in TX in a week or two.

Geez, guys, I didn't mean to start a war!!!!

Anyway, I found a part and ordered it already. Autopartswarehouse.com called it a "replacement fender" for a one ton dually.

The part is flimsy plastic, and cracked straight thru. On the plus side, it just bolted on with a few bolts, and the OEM spec replacement should do the same. And less than $300, delievered.

BUT!!!!! Later this year when it comes to new car time....I think this clusterfuck will put me at the top of the line for picking out a suitable vehicle just for me. I need an SUV he'd hate to drive. Jhikpghf

PINK or Purple would keep me at least 50 feet away under any circumstance

If you don't know, go back to school or remain silent.

You're still WRONG see that little piece of chrome on the silver Fender extension/flare, thats the wheel well molding trim...the chrome peice....she broke the big silver piece.chuckle

Oh I thought she broke the inner fender. The plastic liner that keeps the crap from piling up under the fender.

Well regardless, she ordered a fender, so she messed up.

To the contrary...*I* was NOT the one driving when truck and trailer jack knifed. And it was the big silver painted hippy thing that got broke.

And the angle iron around the flatbed trailer got smooshed down to the floor of the trailer.

We won't yet discuss what he did to my stock trailer when coming through Waco a couple weeks ago. That's the welding neighbor's NEXT job.

I ordered a fender because that's the crappy piece of plastic that broke into pieces when it hit the trailer. How is that messing up?

I was just joking about the wrong part.

My OP stands

Duallys probably don't have inner fenders(in the rear). The cheap fenders are fiberglass/plastic therefore don't rust.

(Inner fenders are for keeping mud from caking the inside of your fender and rusting it.)

You're not right, you're dense, can you not see the differnce between silver paint and a chrome molding? That little chrome molding doesn't cost $300.

But me, with a welder? Didn't we just HAVE a wildfire around here somewhere?

No, no, no, the thing I ordered was actually white, and it's the big hip thing that covers the dual wheels in the back. I don't care about little chrome molding strips.

Welding is a piece of cake, ask that welding neighbor to show you how, I learned to weld at age 12 (Cause if we didn't fix what we broke before dad got home, things got ugly)
