Not really: the Patriot Act is actually Rex 84 Lite written by Oliver North, NSC White House Aide and liaison to the FEMA, and John Brinkerhoff, the deputy director of the FEMA back in '84.

Sadly, they're still (mostly) at the talking stage. Soon, it'll be the "door kicking in and hauling people away" stage... and yet, most American's still won't get it.

Prime example: I had to listen to some jack-ass from work at lunch today lecture about how free Americans were (apparently he'd had a big 4th of July part or something). I didn't even bother trying to correct him, I just sat there and listened. I suppose that most people think as long as McDonalds is still open we have freedom.
