Having worked in a busy Porsche/Audi/Benz service department I can tell you all that you are wrong. They have a better fit and finish and use better materials but they are no better, and have catastrophic failures much more. There is a reason the resale value is shit. The electronics are flaky after 3-4 years. Suspension and brake parts are expensive. The only way I would drive any of these is on lease...or trade everytime factory warranty runs out.
As someone looking for a car no products are appealing to me. Its looking like a Nissan Frontier though, I sorta need a truck this year and they seem to hold their value really well.
Its apples and oranges though, labor it the highest cost in building a car. If they didnt pay the German worker 60$ an hour then perhaps a BMW would be as affordable as a buick and they would sell 2x as many Making more money and more profits.

Destroying the US auto industry was part of the deliberate implosion of the global economy. Could not have a strong industry. The bankers destroy the global economy to eliminate the middle class. Show me another v-8 selling factory new for $25k

I own a car just like the video. Bought it 2 years used for $20k. It is basically the same config as a Cadillac but $10k less. Sports auto is cheaper than luxury auto. It still drives like a Caddy with the same sound and AC/heat systems.

*No longer sold. Discontinued. But the Ford Mustang can still be had.

The cheap Jap rice-burners break and you then buy a new one. I'll probably never have to buy another auto, unless i just want to.(probably not) Had my eye on a Volvo wagon. They are very inexpensive over here. Also like the Jaguar. Just a pain in the ass to own several autos. Too much insurance. Can only drive one at a time ...
