How to build a conspiracy theory
http://blog.skepticallibertarian.com/201...cy-theory/
1. Pick bad thing X that happened (it doesn’t matter what or when).
2. Postulate a conspiracy was behind it* (it doesn’t matter who or why). This is all you need to get going, but there are a few techniques you can use to fill in the blanks about what really happened during X.
3. Cherry pick factoids, take details out of context, mine quotes from public figures, elevate obscure minor incidents to center stage, juxtapose unrelated events, obsess over coincidence, point to suspicious lack of evidence that (if it existed) would support your theory, and always, always have pictures with big red arrows pointing to nothing in particular.
4. The general rule is: stitch together everything that vaguely supports your theory or calls into question the mainstream explanation, and ignore or deny everything that does not fit.
5. In later stages, once your campaign to uncover the truth is well-developed, create a really poorly-produced internet “documentary,” set it to scary music, and have your college roommate narrate it.
6. Denounce skeptics and scientists who debunk your claims as tools of the conspiracy, and make it clear that anyone who doubts your theory is a Moreaun human-sheep hybrid creature afflicted with narcolepsy. Tell them they need to, “Wake UP, SHEEPLE!”
7. Compile a list of a tiny number of “experts” that support some of your claims, and use it to lend a veneer of scientific credibility to your theory. Wherever possible, use misattributed, unsourced, and quotes taken out of context from experts who do not support your theory to imply they do.
8. Create lists of “unanswered questions” that, regardless of how well-answered, will always remain “unanswered.”

Don't forget to name who's out to get you.

Let me 'postulate' number 9, won't you...? Just for fun...
9. Create a website(s) where the moderators control the flow and the placement of all such bogus 'news,' in which 'members' and 'posters' believe that they are 'contributing' in some meaningful way to the 'opposition' to these 'problems of society,' and that by having done so, they are now 'awake' and inherently intelligent for having done so.
If posters become 'problematic' to the moderators or the agenda, they are banned, so that they can no longer 'color' the forum with undesirable information of the 'real' variety... or at least, the wrong 'right' facts. Banned posters from the first forum are funneled into another venue, where the same process occurs... rinse and repeat, until minds are washed clean, or they are so dirty that they don't notice, or care anymore, what is going on...
Because there are only a limited number of persons available who are available to make 'real' contributions, the forum owner(s) operate a large number of 'sock posters,' that post (I would guess... it's just a theory) about 75 percent of the 'responses' to any thread and, as a matter of 'fact,' represent most of the actual 'posters' that visit the forum. It is no 'real' problem, then, to control the flow of the 'conversation,' and to control the 'real' posters, who often have no idea that they are now agreeing with the same poster that they just bashed, possibly in the same thread. 'Personal' relationships are cultivated through 'private' messaging, in which 'private' thoughts may be gotten that members might otherwise not post 'openly,' and posters' emotions and opinions can be more specifically groomed or 'nipped in the bud.' So to speak...
And the point of all of this would be...? Goodness knows... the jury is still out on that one, and after all, it is just a CRAZY theory... right?
Right. ;)

I think that's implied in Step 5:
5. In later stages, once your campaign to uncover the truth is well-developed, create a really poorly-produced internet “documentary,” set it to scary music, and have your college roommate narrate it.

RE: How to build a conspiracy theory
Hmmmm - so that's how they foisted the Global Warming scam on us!
Conspiracy - is the most difficult of all things to prove, because you can't look inside peoples minds to see what they were really intending or thinking - except when they say it out loud in speeches, interviews and books - for which there is thankfully a whole host of evidence - just that MSM will never tell you about it and therefore for the average shmuck it, cannot be of any importance.
But more than that you need to understand the mindset, the motivations and the moral universe of those pulling the strings - only then will you understand why they do what they do.
As to how they are able to manage such complexity, co-ordination and multi-generational timescales - you need to understand what is the guiding power behind the elites and what it wants - and since all of the elite directed belief systems will steer you away from ever seeing that, then personal experience is pretty much your only chance.
They coundn't care less if a fring minority sees what they are up to - in fact it is good for them, because it helps them to label it as the fringe, so that the sheeple know where the boundaries lie.
