...browse wikipedia and google for foods that are common in differing countries....this began because I found it odd as f*ck in my younger years when I came to discover that there was such a thing as 'canadian bacon'...I found that astonishing...though I also thought for the first 5 years of my life it was 'female' bacon not peameal ...so of course it was the kind that came from the girl pig Anon

I blame my parents inability to pronounce their words properly chuckle

...but I digress....

Over the years I have come to discover that poutine is 'ours' as are nanaimo bars...and 'bagged' milk...and last but NOT least...butter tarts...which I am making for my fathers visit sunday....I can hear my Nans voice in my head right now....the eggs have to sit out on the counter all morning...fluff them gently each time you go out to/past the kitchen...and make sure you throw a handful of walnuts into the ones for the men...yes the men always got things with a little more substance...because they are men after all :)

Anyway...Englands main meat was once dog...france is of course horse...and the list goes on and on...just the differences in the fast food menus could keep one busy for days...

My favourite cuisine.............hmm....

That is difficult to pick, but I would say Japanese, mountain region. Vegan monk food. Root veggies....mushrooms. I love mushrooms. Carrots...miso....pickled stuff.
