Back in the old days, people didn't get divorced, mothers worried about their child's lives more than their own.

I suppose you don't care that you are going to cause a lot of pain for your children, and that every study shows that children with divorced parents are much more likely to not graduate, go to prison, and a host of other problems.

that is a concern of mine. But, at this point. I think by the very fact i will be getting them away from the small dying town, will far outweigh anything else.

I can already see them taking the same path I did. Getting married young to the local "popular guy", then spending a lifetime justifying that choice....like I did. And the truth is, I have missed out on so much, and I am a less educated person for it. When i get around my girlfriends in the city, this becomes evident. It is like I have been playing house my whole life.

And for what? to come home to a beer drinking , chips eating, ape! He works as a mechanic and comes home dirty and stinky. it stinks up the whole house and i think it follows us everywhere we go....were like the greasemonkey family!!! its horrible.....

Why dont you tell the truth. You arent dissapointed with your husband. You are dissappointed in a choice you made. Your friends probably werent superficial whores who wanted the"popular local guy" as you call him. They had more vision then you. That is why their lives are better then yours. Not because of your husband.
You can blame him all you want, go after a better life. Rip your family apart just to move to the city and meet other people who have done the same. they are still only one generation from the white trash that you are. If they are successful and happy its because of what they have accomplished not because of their choice of a mate. If you lacked the ambition to make something of your life 15 years ago dont blame your husband. he is probably tired when he gets home from working all day to support your ungrateful ass.

Me being Neutral.... and once in the same position....

At least give him the chance to change.... and tell him your objective.... if he loves you ... He will fix things.... Some times We ( MEN) are dumb as f*ck and don't pick up on the signs our Wives are trying to show us....

I fixed my marriage after my wife wanted to leave... because she is worth it and I love her.... and now... We have the best marriage... and it was because she had to TELL me what was wrong because I was clueless...
