i used to hunt and owned a few shotguns and a rifle. sold them in 96....have never needed a gun for self-defense. just never seem to find myself in those situations. don't think and plan or fantasize about it either. if somebody wants to to point a gun at me and take something material from me they can have it. if someone wants to tell me i need a gun because if i don't have one someone else is going to murder me, i'd laugh their in their face.

Doctors kill more people than guns do. Cars kill more people than guns do. I don't hear any of these morons calling for getting rid of doctors and cars. Just guns despite the clear evidence that they are not as dangerous as so many other ways to die.

car accidents and deaths due to doctor f*ck ups are not homicides. homicide is the issue not the instrument being used. guns make murder 100xs more possible. hand guns are made for killing people...they have no other purpose.

Criminals don't follow laws - hence why they are called criminals. Now are you still with me so far? I know this is complicated business, so try and focus. So... take a criminal, what do you think he's going to do when you make it more difficult for a law abiding citizen to lawfully obtain a firearm? Now what I want you to do, is think really really hard about this. Merge the might of all of your brain cells and have them think as one. How does gun control make sense now?

This is where you indeed are showing your ignorance. At reasonable ranges, medium-sized game (deer) can be taken with a .357 but typically with a .44Mag. Handgun hunting has spawned such classics as the Thompson/Center Contender in a plethora of calibers. They interviewed a Cuban person who made it to the US.. He said the First thing Castro did was Confiscate Guns..He went on to say if he had not done this he would of been in power only a few weeks.. The first thing he did was confiscate guns.. Sound Familiar ??
