Well, I think the most worthwhile would be to get their stories to expose the realities of their experience. I don't think you would call it a high horse really, if you empathized with the civilian victims of war.

Imagine for a moment that you're sitting around in your home, and there are military trucks driving by, and suddenly your door is banged in and your family is rounded up and pushed on the floor along with you, and suddenly you hear a gunshot. Then talk to me about some high horses and we can go to a rodeo.

FreedomStands, point understood and taken. I apologise for talking to you about high horse. Of course I empathise with civilian victims of war. I've been antiwar since my father, a disabled WWII vet, shared his feelings with me when I was a teenager in the early 60s. Once again I apologise.

I challenge all that read this to look at this photo for about 30 seconds and think of how this woman feels right at the moment the photo was taken. Notice the man at the top right of the photo looking on at the girl. He too is touched by her and her loss.

When a Veteran dies in a war it touches more people lives than one could imagine. When a person serves in the military and become a Veteran that too changes their lives forever. More than any non Veteran could imagine.

I wrote and recorded this back in 2006. War had already drug on and on... Now its six years later. We're not fighting in Iraq (or so they say). Maybe soon now it'll be the same in Afghanistan. Those of you not from military families & who hold contempt for what you just can't understand, those of you who think our vets are nothing more than murderers, I feel for you.

Led into war by lies that justified
calling out for a preemptive strike.
Watching you fight this war, no end in sight,
soldier I want you to know we'll try to make things right.

We've waited for years for leaders of this land
to give us some reason we can understand,
but all we have heard from leaders of this land
are silly slogans saying "we must take a stand".

Most of us in our country have seen the light

Military families we got your back,

There's a better God I know, I want you to fear,
if that's what it takes to end your war this year.

You believe in your afterlife where the Judgment looms,
so won't you consider what you did in your deceitful rooms?
Theres a consquence for all, even folk like you,
and Jesus would not forgive all that you do.

If you lived with one instead of having this emotional one time experience, you'd not be bragging about crying with one. That's their only power and claim to fame. Most were only in for a year or so and got out. Milk it.

What right does America have to go into other countries and tell them how to run the place with guns and bombs as the means to convince them?

I'm sure you or anyone else wouldn't like that done to you by some country with lots of guns and bombs and advanced technology and wealth.

I still haven't gotten over the Nazi veterans that gave their lives for a the greater glory of Germany. I'll be honoring the American veterans as soon as we've given enough honor and praise to the brave Nazis.

I can respect that!

Veterans come from ALL countries and those who died had a mother and a father. They had dreams of a future perhaps to marry, own a house or start a business.

The effects of service in the military is no respecter of race, country or religion.

When a person loses a loved one in a war be it their from the former Soviet Union, East Germany or China or America it hurts just the same.

Perhaps when your done morning the loss of your German comrades, perhaps later you'll have the feelings for others in other countries also.

Until then it's not offensive that you feel this way.
