Except my plan to use it as an internet phone is not working out. The Droid Skype app has so many bad reviews I didn't even bother looking into it. There is a YM app for Droid but I think I tried it for a short while years ago and deleted it.

I did root my phone finally. Yawn. Big deal, new "themes" or whatever they call em (skins). None of em seemed any better than the stock default skin.

Right now my Droid sits uonused and powered off all day. I have no idea what to do with it, I am a huge gaming addict but I've never played any games on the Droid except for my personal favorite, OpenSudoku which I play every time I do #2 (TMI obv LOL).

HOW CAN I MAKE MY DROID WORK AS A NET PHONE THRU MY PC ROUTER???
Me thinks Droid will surpass IPhone. Me learning programming and hope to quit my job when I create an awesome RPG game.

Ps. My phone is a WiFi hotspot just by pressing a button.

I didn't know that... thanks! I thought it blocked Wi-fi as well.

Oh, the backgammon i use is from AI Factory. It's fancy graphics but not overdone. AI is okay, but it's just to pass time when waiting in line or something.

I just checked, Get "Leo's RC Simulator". It's worth the effort it takes to get good at it....

One thing I can't figure out is how to overclock the CPU. My rootkit gave me something called Virtuous Overclock but I can't figure out what to do with it and I can't find any instructions on the net.

Since the phones pretty much useless to me (except as an MP3 player maybe but I got a much smaller Sansa for that and it works great), I just wanna crank the hell out of it until it starts smokin' from overclocking so fast. hahaha

I live near a lake that has a lakefront motel with free Wi-Fi. I go down there at night and watch the stars while playing Pandora radio. I even splurged and bought the $36 upgrade for Pandora that makes it sound better with no ads. That's for a year so it's only $3 a month. I don't mess with CD's or mp3's so it was well worth it for me. CD's used to be $9.99 for a discounted price... With Pandora, it's like I have a million CD's...

So far none of the ROMs I've tried have been to my liking.

I tried Cyanogen, Steeldroid and Miui and didn't really like any of em.

And whatever ROM i have right now, the Market doesn't work. I think it's Liquid ROM?

Just a disaster, this phone. A working brick. I even looked into selling it... ha! I think I got quoted like $5 for the thing. LOL

Now that's a cool use for it. Only thing about Pandora I didn't like is that after a certain number of "skip this song" requests, it told me I couldn't skip any more for that day. Ugh.

I'm sure I'll find something, but so far the phone only gets used in the bathroom. LOL

I wish my marketplace worked. I think I can actually browse on PC and it will send the app to my phone... but not sure about thru wifi or not. Oh well.
