This explains why some people spend all day here.

Lmao

Some of us get paid to spend all day here. I often work overtime and work into the evenings when there are enough threads on the topics I'm paid to shill.

College degrees are less relevant than they used to be, but they do open doors.

Depends on the degree, even a 2 year degree can be a valuable thing depending on what it is. Even fluff degrees like "BGS in film studies" prove you have the tenacity to endure a bunch of BS and follow through.(I didn't chuckle )

I understand where you're coming from OP, but once you develop the skills employers need, the degree doesn't matter as much. My grandfather's company employed some non-degreed architects and engineers(that was a surprise to me when he told me), but it took them longer to considered competent.

College isn't a complete waste of time. I never finished any of my majors, but it wasn't all fluff, quite the contrary. Once I discovered the educational strategy that worked best for me:

Ignore the degree requirements, and just take the classes you want. If you keep switching majors it's hard for them to pin you into "western civ" and other 200+ student "core" classes.

Bullshit. Many of my non-college friends make a helluva lot more than me. Yea, they work in factories or blue collar jobs but they make more. As far as the partying goes...you're spot on. I was f*cked up for a better half of my college career. It was awesome.

College graduate here, currently sitting in my chair (comfy too) in my office on the clock while I'm typing this. I don't really do much physical labor except when racking servers and even that is shit easy. I'm paid well and enjoy my job.

You mad bro? Jptdknpa

Original poster has a 2 inch penis----fully erect.

Don't worry. College is not for getting a job anyways, it is for your own personal enrichment.

If you want to work with such folks and not go to college? Easy, hang out with the rich kids in your high school. Their fathers own companies that hire them and their son's friends when they get out of high school. I have witnessed that little social game for years.

It is all about who you know, not what you know.

RE: I'm so sick of this college graduate party in america
I witnessed the college party connections first hand.

My best friend got a persnal trainer degree at some rinky dink school but he made a hell of a lot of friends in the process. Got out of school and went to south carolina and got married. Got divorced a few years later and moved back home. I remember I was with him on day one of him getting back. We were driving around and he goes "I got an idea, Porchellor is a manager at a manufacturing plant" He gets on facebgook and finds his old college party buddy. He sends him a message on facebook from his phone saying "hey its kevin, you have any management openings" Hisd friend Porchellor answered right back at 1 pm at a time when he should be working not playing on facebook. He calls my best friend and starts telling him good news that hes got this opening. My best friend slams on his breaks and turns around while on the phone. He gets off the phone saying 'we'll be there in 30 minutes". I go "what are you doing". He says that hes got an interview in 30 minutes. We get to his place and he gets all dressed up and we drive to the plant his buddy Porchellor was a manager at. Kevin leaves with Porchellor to his office while I wait in the car. Kevin and his buddy Porchellor walk over to Porchellors expensive vehicle and leave the parking lot. Im sitting there waiting in his car for 90 minutes or so when they both came back stinking drunk. Kevin gets in and says "I got the job man....starting 65k a year"
