I once met a man who was living on the streets of NYC and had boils all over his face. A young woman walking her dogs passed him by, but her two dogs she was walking stopped and tried to go up to him to say hello. He snarled at her, "Get your f*cking dogs away from me. You think I care about your little dogs? No one cares about me. Go back to your rich life and leave me alone."

And then a short time later I saw that girl walk up to the man, without her dogs, hand him a wad of money, and say,"You think no one cares about you, but I do, and even more important, God loves you ."

Tears came to the old man's face, and he replied, "Oh, thank you! Just today I was praying for God to help me out because I have had nothing to eat today, and sure enough, God answered my prayer. He always seems to help me when I need it the most."
