Glad you had a good experience. But why bash Obama for using a teleprompter when Bush, Mitt, Rick and Newt all used one too. If you are going to open your eyes open them completely.

Ron Paul gave a speech last night on the UCSD campus in La Jolla. It was very exciting! There were THOUSANDS of people there - a LOT of young people, but also plenty of older folks as well.

He spoke outside on the mall between the buildings at a little podium set up on a tiny stage, and we were all packed in like sardines, standing shoulder-to-shoulder, to listen to him.

I was very close to the podium and it is amazing to note that he speaks completely extemporaneously with no notes and certainly no teleprompter (take THAT, Obama!).

The crowd was fired up and would boo when he talked about the way the govt. abuses its powers, and would cheer and chant "President Paul!" when he would talk about the contsitutional remedies.

The point is that Ron Paul knows what he's talking about, and the ideas are his ideas, not ones from speech writers...

So what if everyone else is using training wheels? Ron Paul needs none.

That's the point.

He's winning this race.

I have to say, I was a resident of Illinois for two years of Obama's tenure as a state senator ('03-'05) and I watched him in several televised debates with Alan Keyes in the summer of '04 when he ran against him for the U.S. Senate seat, and Obama was TERRIBLE speaking off the cuff.

And he still is - today!

He stutters, he says um... A LOT and he just generally speaks in superficial platitudes. There is very little substance at all to anything Obama says.

That is why it is so remarkable to hear Ron Paul talk. He is SO well-read about the constitution (our form of government!) that he can speak intelligently about a great range of issues without any help whatsoever. And the things Ron Paul speaks about have meaning and people respond to it because they KNOW the truth when they hear it!
