I have voted Republican most of my life and I will not stop now. I expect that I will vote for a Republican Mayor, Republican Council members, County officers and so on.

Of course, I will not vote for any REPUBLISCAMS. They are the shit of the Earth.

There is a big difference between the old fashioned Republicans and those people who currently pretend that they are Republicans when they are really Republiscams.

When Eisenhower was President the GOP was still the party of morality. Granted they had a few scumbags in the party, but their decisions were based upon old fashioned morality. The Republicans were the party that freed the slaves. They saw the need to help the elderly in their senior years and thus voted for Social Security and other programs to help people who were down and out. They were conservative with money and did not foolishly spend it like a drunken sailor.

The Democrats back then were the party of Racism, Segregation, the KKK, anti Catholic Bias, and Warfare and foolish spending therefore. (Both World War One and World War Two were under Democratic Presidents. The Korean War was under Truman another Democrat.)

THEN in 1960 something weird started to happen. The Democratic Party nominated a handsome young man, a war hero, a writer, a career public servant and a Catholic to be their Presidential Candidate. The southern Democratic States opposed him up to the convention, but the Democrats held together and voted for John Kennedy. Nixon lost the election because he was so ugly in comparison. (He was also crooked as hell, but the public did not know that.)

The next election was 1964. Kennedy had been murdered after he announced to his aides that he was going to pull the American military advisers out of South Vietnam. Lyndon Johnson who had assumed the presidency when Kennedy was assassinated was a southern Democrat who was racist in his early years had a moral conversion and pushed for Civil Rights Legislation. When that happened he lost the Racist, KKK loving Democrats and they rallied behind the Republican Candidate, Barry Goldwater who was the first official representative of the Let's Make War for Financial Profit Republicans.

The American people were afraid of a radical like Goldwater and Johnson won the election in overwhelming fashion. That was OK with the Let's Make War for Financial Profit Tycoons, because there were enough of them left over from the old Democratic Party to pull some strings and get Lyndon into escalating the Vietnam War.

Escalation? Sure! It started with two imaginary attacks on two American Destroyers who were off of the coast of North Vietnam when they fired upon three North Vietnamese wooden coastal patrol boats, killing a bunch of young Vietnamese sea cadets who were on a training mission on August 2, 1964. We claimed that they were modern Torpedo Boats but their speed over water was about ten miles an hour (Knots) as they proceeded along the Vietnamese Coast., not the speed that you would expect from a torpedo boat. The shots we initially fired were supposed to be warning shots. The wooden Vietnamese boats were also repeatedly attacked by American Jets that consistently strafed the wooden boats and killed more boys.

General Giap of North Vietnam admitted in 1995 that the boats did try to fight back once they had been fired on by the Maddox, which was in North Vietnamese territorial waters. They claim to have fired one torpedo against us after we started shooting at them. We claimed we could enter their waters because we officially declared that we did not recognize their territorial limits. There is something seriously morally wrong about that. The Maddox had been involved in numerous attacks (Multi ship operations along with South Vietnamese patrol boats.) along the North Vietnamese Coast, attacks that essentially shot up fishing villages killing innocent citizens.

The joint American and South Vietnamese attacks had been going on for months and were acts of war (without a declaration of war) against the North Vietnamese to try to draw them into a fight that our propaganda machine would play up as a North Vietnamese attack of the innocent United States. In Grade School, if you punch the little weak boy in the nose enough times he will eventually try to fight back. The North Vietnamese made a limited effort but were being destroyed out there from the air.

Nobody ever saw a torpedo. There were no torpedo explosions. We killed and injured most of the boys in the boats, but could not show any indication that the American Destroyers had ever been successfully attacked by the patrol boats. There was a piece of lead that was found on one of the Destroyers that may have been there for years, but we claimed that it was a shell from the Torpedo Boats. Conjecture had it that it could have been an antiaircraft round fired by the patrol boats at the American jets that were attacking them. WE also claimed a subsequent attack on the night of August 4th. The North Vietnamese were afraid to even send their coastal patrol boats out of their harbors and none were out that night. Future Admiral James Stockdale who was a pilot in the skies over the scene and was looking for Vietnamese boats to strafe did not see any other craft than the two American destroyers that were aiming guns at each other. In 1965 Johnson was quoted as stating, "For all he knew, the US Navy was shooting at whales out there!"

At any rate, we had an excuse to escalate the war and worked a bill through Congress that was used to effectively make a war without declaring one. So the rapidly escalating war against a poor Third World Socialist Farming country was "ON" and we killed millions of those people, a people we called Gooks because of our disrespect for their simple farming lifestyle.

Johnson felt tremendous shame that he had been tricked into escalating the conflict from use of Military Advisors to use of American Armed Combat Troops and decided not to run for a second term. This was one of the Great Moral Decisions of all history, and nobody has effectively written about the deep anguish that Johnson experienced when he finally realized that he had been duped into the war.

Bobby Kennedy looked to be the Democratic Standard bearer after he won the California primary. He promised the American people that he would get us out of the war by just pulling out. The Republicans wanted to run Nixon again in 1968, so a pretty boy like Robert Kennedy who was anti War had to be shot just like his brother, John. The Democrats were stuck with career politician Hubert Humphrey who was almost as ugly as Nixon. Nixon won the election with a promise that he would End the War with his "secret plan." He never told anybody what the Secret Plan was, but he did promise to end the War. He managed to continually expand and expand and expand it for six years, and in the process spread the war to Laos and Cambodia. With such a fantastic showing, Nixon had all of the Let's Make War for Profit crowd firmly in the Republican Party. The Republican Party was now the Party of War, Racism, Greed, and Horrible Corruption just like Nixon. It has stayed that way to this very day.

The Democratic Party has assumed many of the traits of the GOP and is now seen as the protectors of our retired seniors, our oppressed minorities and the poor. What an unbelievable swap in roles for the two political parties.

From that elections forward the Southern Democrats started shifting to the Republicans. It was gradual and took many years, but those Racists, KKK loving, "War is the solution" Democrats shifted to the Republican party, and joined with "War is the solution" Industrialists to form the Republiscam Wing of the Republican Party. It was no longer the Grand Old Party with those Republiscams Riding on Board.

Agreed.

The Republicans I like are Dwight Eisenhower for his integrity and Ronald Reagan for his capability to bring out the best voices of his cabinet.

I consider the others Nixonian. Dick Cheney is part of this group. Donald Rumsfeld. This is the group RUINING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.

Unfortunately that is the very group looking to get back in via Romney, and ROMNEY IS EMBRACING THEM WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN. (yes, Creed/Scott Stapp reference there).

So, not voting for Romney and I PRAY SO MUCH that we have woken up by 2016 and have the Eisenhower/Reagan type of candidate we so desperately need!!!

Normally, I would be in the crowd saying "the two party paradigm is a scam". 99% of the time I believe that to be true.

But anyone looking at current events can see that Romney wants to start a war against Islam that we cant win, while Obama is actually trying to find a way to prevent the Neocons from destroying America, and maybe even the whole world.

I know people think I am a democratic hack... but the truth is that I am a Libertarian that understands the political situation we are in, and I realize that Gary Johnson has no chance.

There are only 2 viable choices. The Libertarians are going to hae to wait until 2016, this is not their year.

Romney is war, and giving more our our wealth to the 1%, and having no empathy for the Americans that will be thrown into the streets when the bankers come knocking.

Obama is trying to make peace, and will make sure that all Americans will make it through the collapse without starving to death and losing everything they have to the criminal bankers who have plotted this property grab (economic collapse) from the very beginning.
