Here's a scenario;

Let's say you're in a bank, or any public building, during a busy time of day and there are many people present, employees and customers alike. A group of armed robbers come busting in and demand money. They don't fire on anyone, nor does it seem like they would if they get what they want; money. And you're carrying a gun. Do you open fire on them risking a shootout and getting bystanders hurt, who otherwise might not have, or do you let it go?

Well...that's my general answer, that's not my personal answer. No one would ever rob a store (etc) if I was in it/around it.

actually, if it a bank, you should spontaneously decide to team up with them, tell them you'll split it, as soon as you walk out the door, shoot him in the back of the head, then take the money and burn it...it isn't worth the paper its printed on...

If no one is at risk, let the dogs have their day, if people are at risk put the dogs down. It's more of a - you have to be there to decide kind of a thing.

But you also have to keep in mind they will probably keep doing it until they get caught or do really hurt someone.

You didn't understand what I said. My answer was general. In my own case I would slit their throats where they stand. Not because they're robbing the place but because they present themselves as a threat. I don't carry a gun because I don't need one.

You asked the question...

If you "miss" you should neither be carrying a gun nor should you interrupt a crime. You should just stand there and let people walk all over you...I suppose.

I guess somebody else is the only person who makes mistakes in their life? I sure wouldn't want to end someone's life without justification, and it would sure as hell have to be more than a lousy bag of money that the insurance would replace anyway.

Are you seriously asking if you should risk your life protecting the money of the *bank*? Its probably not even the bank's money anyways! Nobody will have any disadvantages if the bank loses money, bank robbery is a victimless crime, it should be legalized. Please come up with a different and more realistic scenario.

If you really want to know, why don't you look up what the police use to justify a shooting, or take Massad Ayoobs (Sp?) course on the legal ramifications.
