I think so many of us are under a false pretense with fear and how it is used to quell the masses. It is not so much the fear of doing something or the consequences of doing something that keeps you from doing things. Huh? I will say again, fear is not preventing us from acting, even though it may seem this way.

I have been on quite a spiritual quest since I started surfing the CT forums, and it's funny because when I started this journey it was the farthest thing from my mind at the time. But over and over, again and again and again, I find 99% of the content everywhere is just fluff. It might be fear fluff, it might be woo woo fluff, but it's all fluff. It's all consumption of ideas for emotional stimulation. Sadly I think many don't see it for what it is because they are so out of touch with their real emotions, they start identifying with all the fake media drama.

So, with fear, it's just like love. You can act out of either, but when you act out of fear the universe does not support you. You might make it work, but it is by sheer force of will combined with random chance. Sounds pretty much like the existence they indoctrinate us with already doesn't it? But I have realized why. Greg Braden had a cool lecture on this, about how to really get what you want you must EARNESTLY desire it in mind, heart (soul), AND body, or the universe will not have your back on it.

THAT is how fear is used. Not to prevent you from doing something, but to ensure you are isolated in those endeavors. To isolate your desire from the rest of the universe, because you are never really isolated ever. But when you FEEL alone, that is when you lose hope. Never act out of fear, always act of love, even if the potential outcomes scare you:

Fear has made me who i am

Since i've joined the CT scene, i've been inundated with FEAR

And you know what? If it wasn't for the fear i would never have learned certain stuff about myself. Like how my mind works. When you fear something, you try to find ways of overcoming it

If the masses are in fear, most, if not all will overcome it

I guess that is a difference of opinions. To me, those that live in fear are incapable of compassion. You can't put yourself in someone else's shoes if you are too afraid of what you might see/feel/learn.

Interesting. But in that case you are embracing the fear even. Most people shy away from it. I am not saying it doesn't have it's place, just that when used as a tool you must be aware of contrived scenarios designed to induce fear, and make sure that if you are acting on those fears that it actually has a base in something real.

Fear has definitely let many creatures survive. But I want to do better than just "make it" through this life, I want to realize all of my dreams and let the joy overflow into everything I do and am!

EDIT: Great interjection by the way, I think I finally understand that whole nothing to fear but fear itself quote. If you fear the fear, you will turn tail and run. If you embrace the fear you will conquer it and turn that fear into a strength. Wow, that was great!

Huh, Fiddy has a book? Shiiiiiet I didn't even know he could read books! JK, actually funny thing I have heard about fiddy, despite his thugged out lyrics apparently he has a lot of positivity and it got him where he is.

If that's the case I'll bite. I don't need to look like a roid addict, but being in good shape and enjoying enough personal success to not need a job is all good to me so maybe I will have to check his book if what you say is true.

on a whim i downloaded the audio book (free of course..ahem) i only listened to the first chapter but the whole chapter is about how fear is a let over trait from the evolutionary process, basically it paralyzes but it also led to the development of the intellect, a sort of double edged sword. really f*cking surprised to hear that coming from fiddy....and in agreeing with you, im sure fiddy would say love paralyzes also, hes a smart dude actually despite the roids.

Yeah the few times I have heard him speak I was surprised. I think he knows it that the muscles and tats and tough lyrics is just tapping into an image that many urban youths want to identify with.

Which is unfortunate, but Marilyn Manson pretty much did the same thing. Unfortunately I think all the drugs really fried Manson he used to seem really sharp now I just wonder what he is on.
