Latest (final?) season of this FX show begins this week. It's not a 'great' show, imo (but I'm a little starved for entertainment...and it does have its moments). At the very least, there may be some good old fashioned occult symbolism/predictive programming thrown in some of the storylines for good measure.

[Image: donblattertvillage.jpg] Hop on, thailor!
I wonder if Clay will have a good excuse for all the shit he's done, which sort-of got alluded to at the end of the last season.
This is kind of like The Sopranos, in that the protagonists are kind of scum (most of them, anyhow), but Kurt Sutter took the reigns over from The Shield, and that was a good show, too. I have a feeling most, if not all, msm television 'programming' is getting notes from the network occult agenda shills, and therefore there's good conspiracy stuff (or social engineering cues, etc.) to be gleaned from much of t.v. .

I've only seen up to Season 3 on DVD -- don't have cable. I liked the first 3 seasons okay, they served as filler. I have heard it's gone downhill in season 4, too bad. I'll still watch it when it comes out on DVD while waiting for the final season of Breaking Bad. Same with Dexter. Damn the Villigan for making us wait and fill our hours with pawn-shop shows in the meantime.

yeah I'll watch it because it's a marginally good show in a sea of crap that is TV today.

However, it's far from the "Hamlet on wheels" they had envisioned and strived for in the first season.

RE: Is Anybody going to watch Sons of Anarchy this season?
You can read a synopsis of season 4 on wiki, burner, but it's not the same as watching the show, of course. I like Dexter, and would even equate it with Breaking Bad, although my opinion may not stand up in court chuckle It's a lot like House in that it's formulaic every episode (just as Breaking Bad can be, too, with its 'cooks'), but it also has an interesting arc that may go some interesting places this season (if any of us get a chance to see it).
I recall this show being compared to The Sopranos, but if I read anything comparing Sons to Shakespeare, then I must have forgot it. It is a family drama on many levels, but it may not be noted as a critical equal of Hamlet, nor will it enjoy Hamlet's relevant longevity, imo (maybe I'm wrong 1dunno1).
Regardless, tonight's show was pretty intense-even for contemporary cable.
SPOILERS
When Tigg's daughter got burned alive, I gotta' say I was pretty taken-aback. If anyone's seen the past seasons of this show, Tigg is not a particularly nice guy and has done his fair share of murder and mayhem. That said, he didn't deserve to have to witness this (nor did his daughter, obviously, deserve to get what she got). True, Tigg did run down and killed daughter of the new antagonist gangster Damon Pope, played by Harold Perrineau (HBO's OZ, Romeo + Juliet, The Matrix) while trying to kill the Niner's crew head who Tigg thought had shot Clay. It's a cold, hard world we live in, and your odds of doom for oneself and one's loved ones increase (I would think) when you choose this type of life path. Still...it's hard to justify that type of vengeance from an outside perspective.

Anyhow... I liked the show tonight. It's better after you've been drinking. Maybe it's also good to learn about the gang activity going on in our world, too (while being entertained in the process). Maybe it's not entirely accurate in many respects, but I have a feeling it is, in disturbing ways.

See you next Tuesday doomed

I think she did, in the opening scenes of the first episode of season 5 (Jimmy Smits...you allegedly big-dicked S.O.B.).
