Sounds fair. However. As Laurence Gardner points out: “Enki was not happy about his brother’s promotion because, although Enlil was the elder of the two, his mother (Ki) was Anu’s junior sister, whereas Enki’s mother (Antu) was the senior sister. True kingship, claimed Enki, progressed as a matrilineal institution through the female line, and by this right of descent Enki maintained that he was the first born of the royal succession.”

“I am the great brother of the gods.

I am he who has been born as the first son of the divine Anu.”

If there is a philosophy of Enki, it manifests and explains itself in early Mesopotamian and Egyptian thought, where the true creator of the universe was manifest within nature, and that nature enveloped both the Anunnaki, and the humans. Nature, as the Great Mother, was still supreme, despite any patriarchal scheme to the contrary. Admittedly, Enki’s claim of his birthright, the one being based on a matrilineal succession -- essentially the mitochondria DNA link, which is wholly passed through the female line -- was in Enki’s best interests. But Enki was also the maternal grandfather who came to the aid of Inanna when things went badly during her Descent into the Underworld.

No animosity...in fact, if you look back, in some cases I have defended them. It is the assholes that try to get preachy about such things that I have a serious disdain for.

If you have a thread about the paranormal, or something completely unrelated to religion, and this person comes around quoting Bible verses that are completely irrelevant it has the feeling of preachy behavior.

I don't know, I have my own religion and yet I don't feel the need to stuff it in people's faces. Religion should be inherently private, in my opinion.

That somehow finds its way into every thread topic conceivable.

oh now, isnt this ironic, I was on this forum last night and started 3 different threads, and on all three of them someone was trolling me because i love jesus. the subject matter wasnt even religious. this site is loaded with Haters.

I am not religious but why this animosity towards Christians? It is not the defining thing in our modern time that is making a better world impossible.

You could better keep focus on the banks, especially Goldman Sachs and Morgan. They truly try to have people sell their souls for short term gain. And they are the biggest obstacle to world stability.

Is it even possible to be a devout Christian in todays society ?

Would Jesus even condone the following things that most of us are part of in todays society ?

401k plans, stocks , IRA"s and anything else to do with the scam corrupt markets . By Christians being involved in such things, all they do is support the beast .

having bank accounts, which supports the beast and systems of usary which Jesus despised greatly

the fact that glutonny is considered immoral and yet large portions of Christians are overweight or outright obese . If " thy body is thy temple" , then alot of Christians are abusing that temple.

having forms of entertainment thru hollywood, mainstream music , etc which further support the beast.

using modern day vehicles which greatly pollute this planet and its natural resources that were created by God.

These are just a few observations .

Is it really good enough for religious people to support or be a part of the things on a daily basis, in which their gods/religions claim are evil/immoral/sinful and then those same religious people expect that asking for forgiveness for that which they willing engage in every day of their lives , will grant them eternal divine rewards ?

surely we all know the saying " judge them by their fruits" ...

so isnt it a bit looney to be a part of the evil physically, but verbally claim to be against those evils ?
