heart It's over for this country
It's all over. The vibe says it is done. You can feel it if you have the antennae. It's finished.

There's no more love. There's no more hope. There's no more spirit. There's no more anything. It's gone. Just a ghost of what was.

People are going off or offing themselves. People working are working through lunch enmasse because they are afraid they'll lose their jobs.

I don't think there is a precedence for this state of a country in history. I think the ones who have successfully held on so far will look back and recall that quote about "and then they came for me". One day they will, because I think we're just seeing the beginning of the bottom being hit. Perhaps by design, perhaps not; we'll never know for sure and it really doesn't matter. It's been at least 5 years and little to nothing has been done to really change anything. Whatever overall agenda there is strategically or otherwise is certainly not in the interest of the America which used to be.

It's every man for himself and getting worse. It's sad to see as well as recall the hope of those who tried and try to keep it going. The dream is over, as it was once said by a famous troublemaker. Imagine that.

I have to blame it on mismanagement. Just from experience I know that although they demand so much of their subordinates (in the work place) they themselves often have failed without much personal consequence. I suppose Rome always did believe in her system to its very end. It may just have been a lack of something by those who cared.

I'll just say this to end my rant. You can't shatter an illusion of safety and fortune and expect to preserve it. I guess hind sight is always 20/20.

Upheaval. There's still plenty love around (and it's infectious). Ever walk around the hospital grounds? Peeps is stressed, to be sure - most folks I encounter day-to-day are ready to engage (and not just about sky-high BS). Sun

Liberty & privacy - that's another matter.

RE: It's over for this country
Perhaps it is... but it sure as hell ain't over for me!!

9/11 woke me up, and over the last decade I slowly came to the realization that I needed to quit my job, take my savings and LIVE LIFE. Before it is too late and I wish I had done so.

So that's exactly what I did. And life has NEVER been better.

So, point is... one man's trash is another man's treasure. What you think of as being "over and done", other people view it as the greatest opportunity of our lives.

If the world didn't turn upside down and inside out on 9/11, I might still be a depressed worker bee wage slave grinding my days away with a grim determination. f*ck that shit. ENJOY LIFE!

That's good. Plenty of it is still there but it is what has been stored up for such occassions and left unused, because it is in its death throws.

You all must be young, you had it too easy growing up, a little bit of strife and you chumps crumble like a house of cards.

A rather generic diatribe these days, which country are you referring to?

If you go to Bejing, China. And see how the people live, feel and do their things now there. You'll notice that they really feel their bright future, they see Europe and the US as an old dying power.
Isn't it weird how these things move around. US citizens feel it is all over and Chinese think it is all starting.

Yep, in America now days when a storm hits and the power goes out for a few days people think it's the end of the world, in developing countries they have an earthquake that kills thousands and they just rebuild and carry on.

1,000,000 millionaires in China. Prosperity feels good. Too bad for us, the 80's are over. Its a global world, though, and there are ways to escape the sinking ship.
