I like your Theromstat!

I've got the A/C at 68 degrees F, and the Humidity, pretty low (dries up some of the water in a glass if you leave it out) via a Humidistat.

Not antarctica, but shirtsleeves. I like the office at about 65F to 62F with a coat on. Humidity is not adjustable there, but at that temp it's not really noticable.

Sun load is cut at both places by heavily tinted windows, so the A/C doesn't have to work as hard and the sunlight can come streaming in.

At home, birds drink from the A/C water drip line :-)

If you don't have U/V refelctive tint on the windows, try one window and see if you like it :-)

Thanks! We're thinking of trying something called EShield for our attic, its supposed to really cut down on heating and cooling.

The home came with sealed, nitrogen filled Anderson windows, so we've at least got better insulation than many with those until we can try the UV filters.

Red states Blue states dam, my heart goes out to all of you, it is enough to kill you. Be sure to drink lots of water, and make cold compreses for your foreheads. On a lighter note don't think air conditioning would be a good investment if one had some money, I don't. "You all take care of yourselves." they say there is a cooling trend coming.

My neighbor lost all of his rabbits this weekend from the heat! Tissue

In the end each other is all we have.
