Jedi Code-Light

Sith Code-Dark

Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.

Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.

Are they both filled with half truths? Are they two different roads to the same path?
Most associate Sith as evil, esp how the movies portray them from the Jedi's point of view.

The sith code came after the Jedi Code, esp after realizing "There is no death, there is the Force."

What are LoP's opinions, and what path do you walk? I myself feel I started off with the Jedi Code, until I was deployed and saw some real world stuff.. Ive now embraced the Dark Side of the Force : D

(Also, If you see todays Pinned post about the theory our sun is dark underneath its light brings about an interesting new perspective to the dark side : )

If I haven't misread something, I think Luke learned how to use both and determined what the situation called for. I think he's right. You have to be two things at once and determine from the context who is closer to the truth or which path has least resistance to meet the goal.

This is what yoda did too imo. Remember he could control force lightning? A dark side skill. Clearly at the advanced levels, a jedi studied sith methods, but only from a jedi perspective. If a youngling studied dark side, they werent strong enough to resist temptations.

I believe in a sort of balance on a grand scale of course, but on a personal level... I'd rather go with the flow than try to balance anything (from what ive learned and experienced)

Just too sides of the same coin, but hate tends to make us do things that make our souls ugly, love brings joy to all and and multiplies itself. To me, that really is the only difference in the entire universe. One energy, two polarities.

Mace Windu was the one who could directly control force lightning, but it was implied both he and Yoda came very close to falling by their own words. It could be said that in order to become a Jedi master one has to fall to the dark side and recover back to neutrality and learn from the mistake. All the Jedi Masters whose story is known seemed to have this trait.

I love how Jedi use the term "fall" to the dark side... In the universe, falling is only perception of gravity , so is there and up or down, an ascend or fall?

Did you know that everybodys vision is slightly different and what I percieve as red will be slightly different from what you percieve as red.I hope I make sense basically we are all watching the same channel but we've personalized our settings. You get me? The dark side represents tptb and all the other bastards we hate. Reality has changed the jedi/sith code and it now stands truer today than it ever has before. It is what you see it to be and nothing else, your reality is the valid reality as mine is mine. You dig?
