I think I might be the best Christian on LOP.

The problem is I don't believe in the mainstream interpretations or what they say.

The Bible has enough stuff that I can use that matches my beliefs enough, though it has things I dislike too.

I think that the Bible makes it clear that Jesus was sent by God and was not God, but was imbued with the message of God granted by being anointed with the Holy Spirit which gave him the inspiration and the words to preach and stuff.

I think that the Good News (gospel/evangelion) of Jesus was lost, and the remnants come from long after he was dead (Paul, who never met Jesus, is the one to whom the oldest parts of the New Testament are attributed to).

I believe that Jesus clearly worships God in the Bible, and the fashion in which Jesus worships God is the same as the ancient Jewish and later Muslim fashion of worship, including prostrations and bowing and praising at certain times of the day throughout the day. One of these sessions is captured in the New Testament story. The ancient Christian churches used to worship in this fashion too, and some do today though it has been falling out of practice throughout the world, with some European Christians being among the first to forget or abandon the practice.

I think what Jesus promoted (and supposedly claimed is the most important commandment) is that God (Ellah or Allaha in Aramaic) is One, and the only God. There are no partners with God, and this was the belief in Judaism too.

I don't believe his teachings were controversial, I think he just was sent to the B'nei Israel (the Yahudi or Jews, and this is what he stated) and that he tried to correct their behavior but they turned on him and tried to have him killed.

It appears clear to me that he wasn't actually killed at all, and even tried to prove as much later, but even his friends might have had difficulty believing what had happened and he departed.

I believe that Jesus will return on Judgment Day, not sooner, and that when Jesus returns, everyone else will return too, it will be the day of resurrection after the obliteration of everything. The Bible before the book of revelations makes this pretty clear as well. Nobody is to go out and believe that Jesus has returned or to obey people who say oh look come out Jesus is here, there won't be any doubt when Jesus returns because it will be the end and the resurrection will be at hand too and the final Judgment.

So my beliefs can actually be found in the Bible and be confirmed by it. They do not really contradict Judaism either, since I don't believe in the trinity, nor does the Bible explicitly state anything about a trinity either.

God is always One, and Jesus is not God because Jesus is clearly a human being, sent by God, informed by the Holy Spirit, who did not know what God knows, and states as much as well.

God has no sons or children in a literal sense, because God is not a biological creature, nor a man, nor a son of man, and the Bible states these things clearly. God is known by invisible qualities, attributes, and is the creator of everything, the source by which the Universe continues to exist.

The terms for son can also mean subordinate, herald to a king, child, slave, servant, and the term for Father is Pater (pronounced Puthayr) which can also be used as Master and Superior and things like that. God is called the Father of the Heavenly Lights as well, so it is not to be taken literally as a biological Father.

So Jesus is not the literal son of God, nor is God the literal biological Father of anyone or anything, and is One as Jesus explicitly states in the New Testament as the most important commandment.

With this belief system I'm proposing, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam would practically be one religion with only minor differences in beliefs about the events and stories (some of the Biblical stories might be distasteful for Muslims).

The Bible clearly states that an innocent man being punished for a crime isn't right, nor does it free a guilty person from their punishment.

So the idea that Jesus died and somehow that forgave unrepentant criminals is silly.

The Bible itself makes it clear that the innocent aren't to be punished for the crimes of the guilty, and only God can forgive, and needs no complicated process of blood sacrifice to forgive those who ask, though if one wishes to repent they may want to feed the poor using a sacrifice, but obviously killing Jesus is not that kind of sacrifice.

So that is my Christianity, and it is the very ancient Christianity, following Christ closely, and I believe it is the best and most authentic Christianity, it is in line with Judaism and Islam. I lean towards Islam more than Judaism though because of some of the things in the Old Testament (and New) which I find interpolation or blasphemous towards God or the righteous messengers of God.

Zeus was pronounced Zayfs.

So the Jesus pronunciation of today and the hay zeus doesn't really have to do with Zeus (Zayfs) and Eesho.

but it isnt enough to be saved and go to heaven by just merely believing, you must repent (stop doing those sins) and worship with all your heart, mind, soul and strength in order to be saved. you must be a born again christian.

I absolutely agree. I've found the good stuff or the gems are really scarce in the Bible sometimes with mounds of other stuff piled in.

If God is so ALL powerful -- how come he his book is so hard to understand?

He should be capable of writing simple, easy to understand instructions.

The Bible? It is a collection of books made by people. God's book might be one of the other famous religious texts. I'd strongly suggest not stopping at the Bible.

I agree that jesus is not god but god did have a son. A text from the deadsea scrolls states that too and makes jesus the son of the son of god.

The torah, the christian gospels, the quran all are written for god and that is why those three have so much similarity's but all three have also been corrupted. One could call it the great plan, others call it misfortune, i call it the work of wicked men.

News update - Jesus was a Jew and it doesn't matter what Religion you are of if you have no religion.. everyone is a child of God and God is not a terrorist who threatens to send you to hell if you don't believe.
