RE: Jesus was a Buddhist Monk
didn't watch the video yet, but there has been much written about the "lost years" of Jesus (although you won't hear about it on the Christard threads)

much speculation suggesting that he did indeed travel to India and explored the theories of Buddhism.

lots of google hits to explore on this subject: https://www.google.com/search?q=the+lost...annel=fflb

read it and weep, Christards

As usual, vlad, you make absolutely no sense with your gibberish talk. And OP, you need to meet Jesus before you declare that He was a Buddhist. You have no clue.

There isn't one single credible source for these supposed "lost years" you're referring to.

There is no historical information what-so-ever that places Christ in India.

These rumors of Christ having spent time in the east are based solely on "psychic messages" from Marilyn Ferguson, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, and the claim of Nicolas Notovich. None of which have a shred of credibility. The only supposed evidence for the "lost years" comes from Notovich. The alleged scrolls have never been produced and the monastery where Notovich purpoted to make his discovery denies any knowledge of the manuscript that he claimed was read to him about "Issa".

Matt. 2:23 and Luke 2:51-52 strongly imply that Christ remained in Nazareth. Both of those accounts are followed by the account of John the Baptist, implying that Jesus' baptism was the next significant part in his life. People didn't write biographies back then as we do now. Rather than chronologically list out details of a person's life from birth to present, in that time it was only important to list the significant parts of someone's life.

...on the same level of speculation that He was abducted by UFOs.

If you have no account of what He did during those years, look at the reaction of people who were around at that time to Him.
Did they talk about what strange ideas the young man picked up on His travels?
Nope, instead they said things like "Where does He come up with this stuff? Isn't this the kid who lived with us all these years and now suddenly He's the Messiah?"

What counted against Him in His home town was the fact that they had direct observation of Him all that time, and no clue to how He could have become what He started acting like.
They would have been happy to have an explanation to throw in His face..."you've been contaminated by watching that damn MTV, haven't you?"..."or you hung around with them Buddhist hooligans, huh?"...or "We've seen your copies of Gnostic Digest you thought you had hidden under your mattress."...

Count on a newageweenie to grasp at any sort of fantasy that will try to debunk who Jesus was.
