Anyone in the UK can't have missed the fact that this week apparently Ian Brady revealed to a close friend (also his mental health advocate) the location of Keith Bennett's body.
Call me skeptical but isn't it a hell of a co-incidence that Winnie Johnson who has been fighting most her life for Brady to revel where her son is buried, now dies.

Could have been shock I mean it wouldn't mean they would not retrieve the body unless it means that there would be no one to view the body- if that's the case they could dig up any body and it would be case closed, closure reached. Hmmm. Popcorn

She has been battling with cancer for a long time. She was in a hospice, you only go to a hospice when you are close to the end. I think it more likely coincidence than cause and effect.

It is a very sad story and Brady is just a dreadful human being. I don't know why the f*ck they didn't pump him full of truth drugs (if they really exist) and coerce the info out of him. f*cking human rights: most would say he is sub-human.

I must admit, just seen the news that she had passed, I thought the same too...hell of a coincidence.

I wonder if the police spoke to her (behind the scenes) about what had transpired, perhaps even told her they had the location of her son maybe.....she seemed a determined lady who wasn't giving up until she knew the truth.

Whatever happens now though, she know's everything about everything.

Well if that's the case, then yeah prob coincidence. Wonder if they will try and retrieve the body, and if they do, what next? Where there more bodies?

This has been around so long that around the moors it urban folklore of where the bodies could have been.

Its a sad history, but really messed up in how it was handled which is why I can only feel what we know about are is only the superficial aspects. There is more to it than a sick f*ck killing lots of kids. Him with holding evidence yet also being described as mad don't make sence. And surely they would have been able to prescribe drugs to get him to talk, more so given that it was decades ago that he was imprisoned, human rights have got better, so back then 'mistreatment' would have been more OK.

Yes you are right, mistreatment these days is not how it works and that is a good thing. And you can't simply cherry-pick situations to change the policy.

There is a very fine line between madness and high intelligence. I don't think he should be labelled either. He is just made wrong.

I would like to say I don't reckon. I certainly don't reckon he is doing it for a regular prison, that sounds like poppycock. But that he is trying to use it to his advantage, yeah maybe. I reckon he wants to die.

Hmm, all points taken. He would have to successfully divulge Keith bennetts whereabouts before regaining that level of control to his own fate I think.
