our local chinese take out (Ho's) was the name.. Got shut down for serving Cat .. Trying to pass it off in their chicken dishes...

You are correct, but I think the notion of it laying in the road not knowing the 'freshness' of the kill could be an issue. Maybe flys had laid their larva in it ready to turn into maggots.

Ah but the butcher doesn't smash into the steer with a truck. The trauma of the impact can rupture organs (such as bowels) and spoil the meat.
I would prefer professionally killed beef to some steer splattered by a lumber truck, ya know?

I would prefer that people who eat meat be required to kill and prepare the animal themselves, ya know?
