First off, she was using birth control. An IUD is 99% effective (moreso than a condom). It's not like we were having sex without using any form of BC. Secondly, I understand that it's a human being growing inside and had she not had a miscarriage, I would have taken care of the baby no questions asked. I was just taken by surprise so much that the first thing that came to my mind was to undo what already had been done.

I'm sorry to all the people that this thread has offended. I'm not an evil person..careless and sometimes naive yes, but not evil. Condoms or the dreaded V will be in my near future for sure.

Encourage her to get a flu shot and make sure it's the kind that has the full dose of thimerosal (mercury). This causes lots of spontaneous miscarriages. However, if it doesn't kill the baby, it's likely to cause brain damage so you could wind up with a severely disabled kid.

You need to do some serious talking do you have a home to bring up this child , are you able to support it ?
what are your ages , if the lady in question is working is she prepared to lose her job at a time when jobs are hard to come by,
It is a big responsibility to become a parent perhaps you could get some advice together ...
try going out to look at baby items with a calculated see how much its going to cost ...
does the young lady in question have support from else were i.e. family
is your relationship stable enough to handle the huge changes a child brings

get help get advice now
