Outside of structural failure, the only other flaw on these new systems is a external component being introduced via the onboard systems. could it be feasible to think a rogue external-drive could infect a airliner so much that it literally drops out the sky?

I'm thinking along the lines of Stuxnet

The software is adjustable; Your question brings up a possible intervention; one that could lead to catastrophe. Maybe Maylasia ground crews adjusted the software? Who else would have access?

But why? What was the motive? Who was on that flight? What was on that flight?

Those ufos with their advanced tech can punch thru our pitiful pressurized coke can airplanes like paper and that is not a good thing when 35000 feet up, or trying to re-enter the atmosphere in a space shuttle.

if it crashed, i would have to think it was a soft landing, and then just sunk, for NOthing to be found.. Splash and down it went..

Water is just s hard as concrete when you hit it going several hundreds of miles per hour.

Question should be, who/what benefits from the plane missing?

That is the question right there. Were the Malaysia Airlines Plane,Flight MH370 jet engines overstressed? Software governors are used to prevent over stressing the engine. Rolls Royce states that a maximum of 5 minutes at over thruster conditions are allowed; If that is exceeded the engines will explode. The flight path shown has the aircraft engines at maximum over-thuster settings for a period of 40 minutes.

In other words, the engines were held to a 102 % power setting far beyond the 5 minute maximum. The results : engine detonation and flight decompression in a matter of seconds. The software could have been tampered with or taken over by outside influences with aircraft guided telemetry. It’s beyond all recognition. The question remains-why?

I think if that would have happened the pilot would have reported it early on in the flight.

Maybe 10 days ago, the transponder was rigged and dropped out of the plan, then flew somewhere else.

My point is:

It was reported that the plane landed in Nanming - safely. (I realize it has since been stated that that report was false).
At the time it was reported to have landed in Nanming, it had already been off radar approximately 3 hours.

No one had trouble excepting the statement that it had indeed landed in Nanming without transmission of any kind.

Many possibilities... given the age we are in. Popcorn

Why are you so hung up on rumors that prove to be wrong?

There is always confusion and bad information during the early hours of any catastrophe like this. Doesn't mean anything nefarious went on.

Yes, and among the possibilities is that this is a fake story.

To what purpose?

but seriously, I think there is going to be a great deal
of attention to the wingtip damage that occurred two years
ago and repairs made to such

who made the repairs?

how were they done?

what were the followup inspections to those repairs?
and what did they show?

It was just the tip. It doesn't seem to have been that severe...

As if it'll make us feel better about flying....

Composite materials for planes this size is still a bit experimental, as far as I'm concerned.

Take a boat, or risk being destroyed by cloaked UFOs. They don't play.

They destroy boats as well. Only dead people are secure against UFOs.

Reposting to keep my type with the utube.

A plane to the right of the doomed plane, appears out of nowhere then disappears again, then a question mark bubble appears, changes into a plane that go north with 3-5 times higher speed than any other plane on the radar.

Also just before 3:00 a plane in the same position as mentioned above changes direction and stalls in mid air.

The bubble question mark appears at 3:02. Five planes in that area. Look at the plane at the 8:o'clock position of the bubble/question mark. It's headed west, downward a bit. Stops. After turning to the bubble, look what happens.??? Then, at 3:34 to 3:37, it looks like this plane that completely changed direction ran into another plane? I don't see any other planes doing that.

Oh crap! Would someone embed this??

That was strange....

(fixed the link for you)

anyone know the name of this song?

Something happened right after the hand off to North Viet Nam Air Control; Multiple warning buzzers going off; may day call out.
