wall Man accused of tossing gasoline-soaked puppy from moving truck
Should I hunt him down and stick a nail in his nut sack??? ARRRRR what a frickin asshole!!

A Roane County man is facing an animal cruelty charge after a witness says he threw a dog from a moving truck.

Last Thursday, a man told investigators he saw Jackie Chesser get out of a truck, take a puppy that was in the bed of the truck, then put it in the cab and take off.

To be fair to the man consider this: What if he found this puppy. He put the pup in the back of his truck, the pup knocked over an unsupported gas can in the probably trash-strewn bed. The guy stops, gets out, puts the pup inside, rolls the windows down because the pup has gasoline on him from the spill, and the pooch jumps out of the window of his own accord...something will dogs do. The witness may have seen him lunge for the pup and thought he was throwing it out, instead.

This guy might be guilty but he might only be just stupid and careless.

Plausible, why would you be willing to douse them with gasoline and throw them from a moving truck but not set it on fire. Seems to me if you're cruel enough to douse an animal with gas and throw them from a truck as implied, then why not just set them on fire while you're at it.

I want to know the quantitive meaning of 'doused' in the eyes of the arresting officers. A little bit of gasoline goes a long way to stink. The guy looks sort of stupid, not cruel.

He hadn't gone far and the puppy wasn't injured from the accident so he must not have gone far. He surely also didn't drench the puppy in gasoline while driving, few if anyone would like to get gasoline all over them when going anywhere. The gasoline had to come from somewhere and the back of the truck is where most carry it. If the puppy wasn't his as he claimed it very well could have jumped out upon its own. If the puppy was in the front of the truck, the guy probably wasn't that happy to find a gasoline soaked puppy fuming up the place. He couldn't have been going very fast.

This media story is a prime example why it is imperative to read between the lines and not accept the scenario that the writer creates, at face value? This is also why you should be considered innocent until proven guilty (and enjoy that while you can).

See how easy it is to sway you with emotion?
