what you are describing is life. doesnt work out like that for everyone, and if it does, so what?

if you want to avoid all real responsibility and just serve yourself, thats up to you. its a nice easy option, albeit a rather an empty, pointless and nihilistic existence, but hey ho

essentially your genes will die with you but thats probably just good old darwinism in action. the rest of us will carry on somehow without your genetic gold mine

Yeah.. How foolish to think that the woman you take vows with and give your life to would somehow be expected to give you some vagina once in awhile.

Lol.. surprise.. she's no longer attracted to you .. you serve her. She masturbates to the 18 year old buff grocery bagger boy.. while your at work every day. Shes repulsed by you man. chuckle

Yeah.. youre right.. being free, single, and keeping my money and youth sounds pretty empty and drab.. Lol.

At least you will be happy in the afterlife knowing you spread your genes. Oh wait you will be dead. You won't care. chuckle
not about the afterlife, especially seeing as no such thing exists

ya see, me being a PARENT and all, its not all about ME

keep your youth? chuckle

ive also been a non-parent, so i can now compare. you simply cannot, you just dont have that experience to draw on to make comparisons

I come from a big family.. and I see first hand how grown kids treat their parents.. over and over. Glad you enjoy it.
All Im saying is I see the evidence right in front of my face.
Marriages where husband and wife can't stand each other and stay together or else just divorce all together.
The kids are in it for themselves.

Most of them don't even stick around the hospital long enough to watch their parents die. They just want to get out of there and back to their own lives as quick as possible. Then see what kind of inheritance they might get.
My mother had 10 brothers and sisters.. Ive seen it time and time again.

That story is all too common, a revolting expose on this evil world of sin.

God's Word says not to get married if at all possbile because it will not
work out...not might not, will not.

hath not sinned. Nevertheless such shall have trouble in the flesh (1 Corinthians 7:28)

Call me strange.. but I would rather die in a hospital bed alone.. as opposed to having someone standing there crying and feeling sorry for me.

The idea of experiencing that whole "cliche" makes me nausious.

RE: Marriage.. a short story ...Non-fiction.. by me.
I'm 35 and happy to not be a statistic. I've seen all my friends end up with lousy marriages and even lousier divorces. People today are not marriage material.

Of the 50% of them that did not fail (yet) how many are really happier together than single?

Statistically you are f*cked in 5 years when you get married.

I knew a guy that fit OP's description perfectly. Over priced house (which he had custom built for her wife), moved and changed jobs because the wife demanded to be near her family, wife cheated on him and can still claim child support (I guess the concept of adultery has been pretty much forgotten in the courts).

For women divorce is win. For men it is always lose.

I'm glad the women I fancied never fancied me and the women that fancied me I didn't fancy.

Happy to be alone! Heartflowers

The Idea that they (wife, or kid, or both) has been talking to the doctor, and they know your going to die..but are talking all cutsie to you, trying to pretend that its "ok" and youre "ok".. and giving you that "look"..

Makes me sick just thinking about it.

Gosh.... I am sorry to see such bitterness.
That has not been my experience at all... Save for the dwindling sex. Which hormones & age dampers.
Long term Partnership is not solely abot sex anyway. If you believe it is, commitment is not for you~

you are clearly a product of your upbringing/family circumstances, and this has given you the opinion you have

my parents fought like cat n dog til my mother died prematurely at 44. my dad was and still is an utter very sexy lady

this has made me what i am - the entire opposite of my parents and DETERMINED to have happy children who have happy childhoods. so far, so good. i didnt go ion the opposite direction and ASSUME my life and my offspring were doomed to the same fate, because that is within our control

to say that 'most of them' dont even stick around is something of an exaggeration, and even it it werent, like i said, its just life. we do not have kids for selfish reasons and we shouldnt have kids if we are selfish. of course, most of us shed the selfish behaviour when children become our responsibility. children are a JOY. they change you for the better

yeah. its bloody hard work but looking after another human is no mean feat. not like a cat, which are not substitute children

i live my life in the present, and hope - and expect - my children to go off and live their own lives. one raises ones kids to do the right thing and then all you can do is hope for the best

not just say 'f*ck it' and rule all of the good stuff out on the slight chance that things may not go as you wish. thats the thing with not having kids, you never really evolve, your life never really goes anywhere

very few people have a perfect childhood and adult lives - like i said, thats just life. whatatagonnado? live it or avoid it?

i dont think any parent relishes the thought of their children around them on their deathbed

again, that is life. life it or dont
