Rumor has it a man is trying to start one in my town. Don't know how successful he will be.

Another helpful service would be low cost access to to legal advice. Especially in regards to medical issues.

I just read an article in my local paper where a woman was walking down the street pushing her 3yr old in a stroller when a chunk of building material fell off from underneath a balcony and hit her on the head.

The building had just been repaired after Hurricane Ike, and apparently shoddy workmanship went into the repair.

She almost died, had to have a breathing tube to breath, but now several months later she is able to breathe on her own but she is paralyzed from the neck down.

She worked in her mom's antique shop and had no insurance. Her doctors says she can make some gains if she gets intensive physical therapy. Her family says they want around $350,000 up front for an 8 week therapy course.

Their lawyer says is could takes years to receive any money from the building owner "if" she wins the case. She doesn't have years.

She needs a lawyer or service that can start the treatment now.

And this was the reason why, when I was asked if it was okay to pin this, I said it was fine.

If just one other person realizes that they can make changes to their community, it is worth it!

I'm not just talking about a free clinic, other community changes are possible. I've seen what the power of a handful of people can do (WE the people.)
