Should a child, who is unlucky enough to be under the care of either one, or two mentally ill parents, who's rule setting is based SOLEY on the parent's mental Illness and fear, and NOT based on ANY KIND OF RATIONAL REASONING AT ALL....

Such mental illness is schitzophrenie, or bipolar, or drug addiction / alcoholism.

Should the child have to obey a mentally ill parent, who doesnt fully understand their kids ?

We don't choose our parents, everybody's got challenges growing up. This reasoning that suffering is somehow wrong, or to be avoided or abolished is taking all the fun out of our lives. Without failure and pain, there is no victory or pleasure.

Who decides how much suffering is too much? Who will be trusted with the children who are taken from their parents? How safe is safe enough?

Divine civilized of people with mental health problems?
Also, getting kid taken away by cps will only cause a child more problems, and could suffer abuse, even death, under state run care.

Sounds like the parents should be in health care, if they are not already.

Good parents would do that for the family.
