Police train their whole lives to be able to deal with situations like this without resorting to pulling a trigger. We make sure of that, as the public.

These me took part in an execution. No sane person can commit this crime and walk away. Our police because of the war on drugs have been conditioned to kill without any feeling. It's just a conditioned mechanical response. These men shouldn't be allowed on the street without professional medical care. I don't believe a normal healthy person could fire a gun at another human being who isnt threatening their life yet these men unloaded their weapons as if they were shooting a sack of potatoes.

A street police officer needs to be a short term position so there is a strong relationship between police officers and the public. Right now police officers cannot even relate to average people. They see us as an enemy. They have their own culture and their own society for the most part.

The war on drugs has destroyed our society and turned our police in to full time war zone mentality combat troops.

Obama was correct when he said we need a civilian force just as strong as our military force. We need them armed with cameras, audio recorders, and humanity to follow our police officers around and hold them accountable.

Shows like COPS have conditioned the public to accept the "new" police officer in our society. It was\is a great propaganda tool. These crimes happen everyday and the public for the most part doesn't have any emotional response from seeing\hearing about it.

Today's public's afford police officers an amount of authority no man should be given.

End the war on drugs. End sending these sociopaths loose on us.

So what is it you cry babies want to have happen, the pyscho stab seven children at a day care after he gets away? How about slit the throat of a innocent bystander who is pregnant with twins? In those situations all of you would be screaming that the cops never did anything to protect those people. Cops have families and want to go home to them at the end of their shift just as much as any of you would. I wouldn't dream of stepping towards anyone who has any intentions of stabbing me with any type of edged or disintegrating my cranium with a blunt weapon... not gonna happen. There also is no training to support the idea of warning shots or "winging" the subject like shooting them in the leg to disable them. Leg shots have a high probability of missing and sometimes even a direct hit won't disable a person who might not be responsive to the wounds in the first place. By then, the subject could get within that "kill zone" and stab each one of your internal organs in alphabetical order before you can squeeze off another round to defend yourself.
I will agree it is tragic that this situation happened like it did, but there are too many factors that would have to be weighed in on before I could have the opinion that these officers did anything wrong. Oh and in case you're wonder I've been in law enforcement for almost 20 years. And it never gets easier. Everyday there is a chance that I might have to make that decision to stop an assailant dead in his tracks. It's actually a very scary thought.

Here's the point of citizens and former military who are not cops.

Any bunch of six idiots who have to stand as a firing squad and send

in all honesty the guy looked like he was about to stab someone on our left camera view which would be his right hand side, also if they let the dog go on him and he attempted to stab/harm it idk how it works but i thought they would treat the dog like any other member of the police force and would consider it assult on an officer.

but every black family i've might in my times in pontiac/saginaw is a family of drug runners/trafficers, and they have been deep into shit, way deeper than anyone would like to be, but they keep up aperances...get disability checks...drive caddilacs/bentleys from won auto accident insurance money/claims, and i guarente you if you asked one of these socalled mothers a question about there son... who probably has killed someone in his 40+ years of life dealin drugs and knowin nothing but the streets, i gaurentee you she'll say he was a good boy never hurt nobody.

I agree with a lot of what you say but not all cops are like this

I never said all cops are like this but their training to approach everyone as a potential murderer and to shoot first and ask later needs to be addressed. They are so indoctrinated that the streets are a war zone that when they are let loose on our streets they are ticking time bombs
