I voted 3rd party, too. But most indies voted for Obama last time. I don't blame anybody for voting for Obama, the alternative was Popeye the insane Pilot man.

McCain went to a LOT Of trouble to lose.

They gagged Palin.

And when he started to win, he gave up - went back to D.C. It was Palin who wanted to keep campaigning, but they kept stopping her at every turn.

The O man is the worse pres even and stands to get worser if reelected. But compared to Mad Dog McCain and Bully Boy Romney he projects a personality that is almost lovable to the under 65 crowd.

Not quite accurate Charlie. He may come off as charming but people are still reeling over the Obamacare and NDAA thing. Not easily forgotten, that whole trashing of liberty thing. Quite a few Democrats are not voting party line this year because of all the broken promises and loss of that "hope and change" feeling they got when he ran originally.

Not quite accurate as well.

The Paul people won't vote for Romney or Obama. They are issues oriented and not party oriented.

The Independents feel betrayed by Obama and won't vote for him and find Romney's positions incompatible with their views so won't vote for him either.

The conservative elements of the Democratic party also feel this way about Obama but won't switch party affiliation for Romney because they realize that he's more of the same.

The Old Gaurd Republicans and NeoCons would probably vote for Romney and the Hard Core Democrats will probably vote for Obama but their an increasingly small minority of the population.

And even this breakdown is simplistic.

IMO it's the end of the two party system as we know it. More people are voting issues than party line and I think the trend will continue.
